On Amazon you can get Peek and Play Eggs with letters A-E. It’s a starter set. I’m assuming they will at some point in time they will release more.

Is this battery operated? If so, what type of batteries?

The eggs do not require batteries. The train does if you get it. The batteries are only for making it talk though. You have to push the train.

If you purchase the train + egg, does it then come with all of the eggs or just the three eggs in the train packaging?

Comes with three train cars and one egg. Mine was the elephant egg
