It looks like the kickstand is thicker than the rest of the case backing. Does that cause rocking while typing when the iPad is lying flat?

The centre is thicker but the borders have the same height. So the ipad is stable when it is in horizontal position.

I don't have the Apple Pencil Yet, but this case is specifically designed for the pencil to fit in the slot above the case.
