Compact and durable
I like the size of the heater and works well.

Should've got something else
Edit: It died right at a year in another tank(couldn't let it go to waste). Fluval wants me to ship it on my own dime and pay for return shipping. So it's cheaper to buy a brand new one. Consider this when thinking long term about this heater. First off, I got a DOA. This isn't a big deal, but I should mention it out of the gate. That said, I really do love Fluval products. The heater was purchased for a Fluval Evo 13.5 to replace the glass one that's too long. While the heater is really compact, the suction cup is useless after a week. So it will fall down on top of the return pump. This warped the case of the pump a bit and made it hard to take off and on. I ended up rigging it up with the power cord to keep it from doing more damage. It keeps the water at 80-82°F (26.6-27.7°C) which is really warm for most aquariums. There's no way to change the setting. It will sometimes decide not to work dropping to 72°F (22.2°C) or work too well and jump to 84°F (28.8°C). It may do this in a single day too. This creates a really harsh environment for anything but some hardy fish. Which stinks as this is supposed to be for a nano reef tank. All in all, with the first one being DOA, a suction cup that's worthless, and the simple fact it doesn't do its actual job well I had to rate it a 1 star. I ended up with a non-Fluval brand and now can't be happier.

Really wish this was adjustable.
This heater has a high quality build and blends into the background really well in an aquarium. Be sure, however, that you consider the size of your aquarium. I had to remove this heater from the tank I bought it for because it is not adjustable and raised the temperature of the water too much. It has an indicator light and lets you verify that it is on. Just be sure you buy the heater that is sized for your tank. If I could lower the temperature, this would be perfect.

suction cups
So I have two Fluval C2 heaters, older style the suction cups work so good that they SUCK, it is very difficult to remove from the glass. The P50 suction cups SUCK so bad that the heater simply falls off the glass. How is this possible? These heaters need to be in the flow to work correctly so placing them is important, having them fall off the glass does not help.

Too hot
Overheats, keeps my tank between 81 and 83 rather than 76-78. Had to purchase an additional thermostat to keep it from overheating

Guiso de pescado
Se menciona que está preajustado a una temperatura de entre 24 - 26°C, pero si no se ponen atentos andan teniendo una sopa de pescado.

Don't buy.
Should be 0 stars. Bought on in December 2024, by February 2025 it had cracked (was never out of water unless unplugged for over 30 minutes) bought an other in Feb. 2025, we'll at 130am March 23 2026 I wake up to the sound of something blowing up in my aquarium, I find smoke coming out of said aquarium and a major chemical smell, I unplugged everything immediately to find my water heater has exploded from the top and was leaking everywhere inside the back of my fluval flex 15g. No I didn't do a water change and the temperature was different, no it wasn't out of water it was fully submerged in the same place it's been for the last year. Now I have to hope my aquarium doesn't die and that there are no micro fractures in the glass from the explosion. DO NOT BUY.
