Ok.. Finally. The keys feel so solid and amazing to me. They're right where my fingers think they're going to be.. which is always nice. I like that the colors are ..sorta muted.. And, the fact that when adjusting them the brightness starts about halfway up rather than at full tilt. So, the keyboard is very easy to use and fulfilling to deal with since everything is quietly powerful feeling. Now, truth be told.. the software feels kinda janky but after some fiddlin' with it.. it's ok. And, I don't have to run it or have it auto-start so that's a plus. Hoping this will be a long term relationship since I am pretty much fed up trying different keyboards since my k740 started being too far over the hill to continue using. Alright.. *Cheers to (of all things) an Alienware keyboard. (Never would've guessed I'd end up here again) Surprise.!

First keyboard I received had a manufacturing defect on the enter key, making it feel like it was getting hitched on something when I pressed it. It happens, exchanged it for a new one which works perfect. Key presses are nice, doesn't require a lot of pressure which makes them quite sensitive. Typing takes a big to get used coming from a membrane, and the keys are angled differently than my old keyboard, but I got a handle on it within a day. Semi-quiet sound when typing which makes a nice, soft tap noise if you press all the way down. I was worried that since I'm sound sensitive that it would bother me, but it's been fine and I've grown to like the sound a lot. (It got stuck in my head when I was sleeping the other night, but it was enjoyable.) It has a mute key and a volume scroller on the top right, which is what I wanted as my old keyboard had it. The lighting is great, and I love that you can save profiles directly to the keyboard itself and cycle through them with the FN + F3 key, and change brightness with FN + F5/F6. I find myself sometimes watching my fingers instead of the monitor as I type to watch the lights dance across the keys as I currently have the raindrop effect. The thick cord is a touch annoying as it uses 2 usbs - one for keyboard, one for passthrough - making it quite thick, but otherwise it's a nice braided cord. If I don't use the passthrough I might just hack off the USB end in the future. For now they're both plugged in so the one doesn't hang freely. My only gripe isn't with the keyboard, it's with the program itself for lighting. It works well enough, but it has its issues and can be finicky. For example, I have the morph when the keyboard is idling, switching between blue and purple, but when I type, it does have the pink raindrop effect I selected, but the main background where the pink doesn't hit turns rainbow instead of keeping the original effect I chose, or it'll go with the original Alienware blue. It's an odd quirk that I managed to get around the first time, but now I need to play with the software again to figure out how to fix it. Annoying, but not a deal breaker since they could easily fix the software. I'm glad I went with this keyboard, as my old Logitech gaming keyboard got stiff after 8+ years of service and made typing completely horrible. I did research, and while I loved their low-profile keyboard (tested it in store), I did not want to fork out $250+ for a keyboard. After more research into RBG low-profile keyboards I decided on this one, and I'm not disappointed in the least. $130 well spent, and hopefully it'll service me for several years. I can't vouch for it for gaming yet as I have a neck injury that makes it impossible to game with a mouse for long periods of time (pinched nerve leading down to right hand), but I imagine it'll work nicely. TL;DR: Keyboard is solid, good typing experience, lighting is gorgeous. Software okay but has issues.

Built Quality: Solid Damping: Very Good Typing: Amazing! 10/10 Lighting: Zoned Volume rocker: Not accurate Cables: Super sturdy Cherry Red's low profile switches, in my exp can't beat this one! But the hardest part, you'll have to get hang of the typing because the actuation needed is very very little.
