Nice pitcher. Easy to use.

I have two large plastic pitchers, which I fill with ice tea. I keep at least one in my refrigerator all the time, as we do seem to drink a lot of ice tea, especially in the summer. One (non Rubbermaid) pitcher eventually became permanently stained with tea, and I had to get rid of it. The other pitcher is a Rubbermaid jug that I have used for more than six years and it still looks good. I liked this pitcher so much that I decided to see if it was still available, by searching Amazon. Much to my surprise they still make this pitcher, so I bought another one. I find that my two red lidded Rubbermaid pitchers are easy to clean, and obviously last very well, despite continual use. I make ice tea directly in a pitcher, by placing an extra large tea bag in the pitcher and adding about two or three cups of boiling water to the pitcher. I let it seep for 10 to15 minutes, and then fill the pitcher with tap water. I let it cool in the refrigerator, until it is cold enough to drink. I highly recommend this excellent pitcher. I am not sure how long my pitchers will last, but so far, they have more than paid for themselves.

One thing to note: while it’s marketed as a 2-quart pitcher, once you put the lid on, it’s really just shy of that capacity. It’s also designed for cold drinks only, so don’t use it for boiling water or very hot liquids. Bottom line: A sturdy, affordable, and practical little pitcher that’s great for daily use. If you like to keep cold drinks on hand, this one does the job well and holds up for years.

Great of making and stirring large amounts of green smoothies, juices, whatever, together. SO affordable too. Most day, I make about 3 or more quarts of blended greens. I use huge handfuls of farmer's markets greens, an organic apple, frozen banana, and flax/chia seeds into my Blendtec (it's like a Vitamix). To store in fridge and later drink, I pour into one quart glass mason jars with plastic lids I got on Amazon. I usually need something large to pour what's mixed, to start over again, cos I make a lot of fluid. I kept pouring into the Mason jars, then mixing them up, pouring into other Mason jars. It was nuts. I needed ONE or TWO BIG containers to hold it all, stir it up, and THEN pour into Mason jars. No way could I find these locally, and I live in a large metropolitan area. Love the price! I ordered with other things, and grateful they didn't come in their own box due to carbon footprint. So I don't store anything in them. I just use to mix up large amounts of fluid. Works just great! Can't beat the price!

Sturdy, nice color on lid, reliable brand. It's been keeping my ice tea fresh, and it's a good size for the refrigerator, though it looked a bit small at first.

This pitcher is an odd size… Maybe it’s shrink inflation but all my other two court pitchers have a little space at the top. Also the lid goes very deeply into the container which displays the liquid. Essentially it’s pretty much 2 quarts right to the lip of the top of the pitcher

I love this pitcher, but save some money and just buy one at Safeway for $7 instead.

Good quality and solid product. Both cold and hot (BPA free). Looks classic. Value for money. Absolutely good Buy! The plastic is marked "5" in recycle icon, supposedly very safe for food.
