I purchased this item for that exact jeep, a 2002 wrangler. It fit perfectly.

Do this come with the frame?

No it does not, it goes on the existing frame

Is there a recommendation for the rear window support rod?

Just make sure it is for the correct model jeep and doesn’t have any restrictions listed in the description. Also, make sure you have the 2 end connectors that mount on both sides of the gate.
