Holds my shoulder length, straight fine hair securely in place. I was looking for a replacement for a similar type of clip. I like this one even better, though, because it’s sturdy metal, whereas, my other one was plastic and the tip broke off. This one has a strong closure which keeps it in place. Most clips slide right out of my hair and I tried so many different types of clips! When I want to take this clip out, I can easily press it open and slide it out without catching any of my hair. It’s also very pretty. I’m very happy with this hair clip.

I love these clips. The size for long thick hair is great. It holds very well. Made with quality materials and functions well for different hair styles.

Great product holds well and love the design cutout on the metal clip. The only reason a 3 or 4 review is they r too hard to open but they hold your hair back very well.

Firm gripping metal hair clip. My favorite thing about them is that they can be removed to be used as a weapon, if ever needed.

Use for putting up hair. Looks nice and holds well. Also used for holding a scarf closed around shoulders. Was able to stay in play for that as well.

I'll start by saying that these are really beautiful clips, and I wanted to love them. However, as a few others have noted in their reviews, these clips have exceptionally strong springs. In addition to that, rather than having teeth, the way the two pieces fit together are more like intersecting brackets [ ] This means that the pressure is in no way distributed across the hair in the clip - but rather there would be very precise sections of your hair that would be getting a lot of tension put on it. I have very fine, delicate hair; and I am afraid to even put these in my hair as it could cause a lot of damage. I have tried working the clip to see if I could weaken the spring at all and make it loosen its grip, but it did not work. These might be great if you have very thick, strong hair that can take that level of pressure; but I think they would be a really bad idea for fine or damaged hair that needs more care. So I'd break it out as 5 stars for aesthetics, but 1 star for usability with my hair in particular.

So pretty and don’t snag, pull or tangle in my hair AT ALL! I bought them to use instead of rubber bands to pull my hair back. Eventually, Goody hair bands will break your hair off with constant pony tails where you wrap them so...this is a great alternative. They grasp really well without pulling and are super cute. ZERO issues with hair getting stuck in the teeth. Love them.

I love metal hair clips. Like, love them. Plastic ones make me cranky. These ones, specially, will stay in my hair like nobodies business. Let me paint a picture- I have very long, and super straight, fine hair. My total braid, or pony tail, looks like a toddlers version on a good day. It’s hard to find clips or hair ties to work with fine hair that doesn’t fall out unless using the ‘grippy’ ones that I end up having to cut out but break my hair anyhow. Needless to say, I decided to give these a try. They might be silver in looks, but gold for what I need! I have to be careful not to roll my hair too tight and clip it right next to the scalp or (for me) it feels like it’s either going to pull out my hair or give me some weird face lift. They are a great value for their money. I recommend for anyone. I can’t say how they do for thick hair at all, but thing hair is a huge thumbs up!
