Perfect book if you are wanting to service your 650r. Has lots of pictures and diagrams to show what to look for on the bike. Another great book by Clymer.

Great comprehensive manual
This manual is an essential for any competent person wanting to maintain or repair there own XR. The specifications and part numbers mentioned are accurate and exhaustive, meaning all jobs can be carried out with total confidence. This manual easily explains how to carry out a job and how any problems may be overcame or experienced if the unexpected occurs. The well thought out headings and sections make referencing fast and logical, with easy to refer to tables holding essential specs relating to that chapter. My issue with this manual falls mainly when compared to Haynes, the pictures in this can be a little confusing sometimes as they rarely have step by step photos, so between two pictures (say in a disassembly of an engine part) there can be lots of difference as there may have been several steps between without a picture. This is were I think this clymer manual is aimed more at the home mechanic with a little more experience, not to say it wouldn’t be extremely useful to a willing beginner. They may struggle with some explanations and stages. If you were to couple this up with Haynes or forum information it’s a powerful servicing tool indeed. Very impressed overall
