The best rice cooker for Thai jasmine rice.
This is the best rice cooker for Thai jasmine rice. 1. It has a simple water filling ratio (e.g., 10 cups of rice, add 10 cups of water), minimizing errors and speeding up the process, especially during busy times. It's also easy for staff to understand and use. 2. The rice after cooked is beautiful with separate grains, which I believe is how Thai jasmine rice should be cooked, just like in Thailand. And the leftover rice stored in the refrigerator can be used to make fried rice with beautifully separated grains that don't break easily. 3. However, the keep-warm mode doesn't seem to keep the rice very warm. 4. Overall, compared to the three larger rice cookers I've used in restaurants, this Panasonic is the best for Thai jasmine rice.

For sous vide
I bought this unit a few months ago along with a controller for sous vide. I have incorporated this cooking technique into my daily routine so I run this cooker most hours of a given week. It works great and feels like it will run forever. On this unit, I am glad I did not skimp. It stopped boiling the water after only 2 months of using it. It's supposed to be a commercial rice cooker - I'm assuming it should be able to handle daily use.
