Work perfect for Adidas, Sambas, and Nike Dunks
If you look in the picture, you'll see these ones on the right and another brand on the left. The ones on the left are noticeably shorter in the wooden section part that actually stretches. That means the longer ones or is this brand and these are better because they give you more area to stretch the shoe with in other words. I like this brand the one for this review that you're reading right now much more than the other brand. Also not that this matters very much, considering the intended usage, but this brand's wood feels more premium when you touch it whereas the other brand just feels like cheaper wood. I don't know why I would think that matters. I don't think it does matter actually but it makes me feel better when I touch this brand versus the other brand. As far as the stretching abilities, I stretched three or four pairs already. I recommend every time you walk by them or every couple of hours just give it another quarter turn. You can use rubbing alcohol instead of shoe stretcher liquid. All shoe stretcher spray is rubbing alcohol mixed with a couple of nutrients and leather softeners and stuff but it's not necessary. The real magic happens with rubbing alcohol, 70% isopropyl. It should be safe to spray on just about any fabric or material. Even leather. Of course double check. Anyway I used just straight rubbing alcohol and it works perfectly. I did it on painted leather, I did it with Adidas Sambas, I did it with Nike Dunks, and I had no issues whatsoever. These worked like a dream.

Amazing!!!
Due to ADHD related sensory issues, my toes are extra picky and I require shoes with wide toe boxes. I bought cute Converse shoes that I thought would work well for my toes, but they ended up being slightly too narrow in the toe box. The photos made them look like they had a more rounded toe. Bummer deal! Instead of returning them, I wanted to try and figure out how to stretch the toe boxes a bit. The rest of she shoe fit very nicely, so I wanted to make sure I found a solution that only addressed the toe box. I saw info online that said to get your shoes wet and stuff socks into them, put a bag of ice inside the toe box and put them in the freezer, etc. But I’m too lazy for all that! Plus those tricks don’t always work. I found these stretchers and, while pretty skeptical, decided to try them. I had low expectations, but was surprised at how sturdy and well made they were. The wood is high quality, and the metal cranks and screws cranked smoothly and flawlessly. There are little plastic pieces you can add in case you have corns or need a bit more stretch in specific spots. I let my shoes sit with the stretchers in them for two days before trying them on. They fit PERCECTLY. The toe boxes are now wide enough to where my toes have plenty of room, and the shoes aren’t damaged at all (I was very careful about not cranking the stretchers too hard, but hard enough to get some solid stretch action going). I didn’t add heat, get them wet, or do anything besides let them sit. It’s day 5 of wearing the shoes and they are still stretched out and are now my most comfortable shoes. I highly recommend these shoe stretchers! I wish I had found these long ago… it would have saved me many returned shoes. But do be careful about the pressure you put into stretching your shoes, as some shoes aren’t of the highest quality and seams may burst as you crank the widening parts. Side note - these can also be used as shoe and boot shapers. My husband is able to use them to keep his leather work shoes in good condition without creases while he shines them or when he isn’t wearing them.

Works okay
Works okay, but doesn’t widen as much as I hoped The product has no strong smell and is easy to install and use. It fits inside the shoe well and seems sturdy at first glance. However, while it does widen the shoe slightly, it doesn't expand the sides as much as I was hoping for. It looks like it's working, but you can’t force it too much — it feels like it might break if pushed too far. Overall, it's decent for mild stretching, but not ideal if you need a significant amount of widening.

Easy and effective
These 4-way shoe stretchers are easy to use and have been effective in stretching a pair of brooks sneakers both in width and length. I have placed them inside of the sneakers overnight a couple of times, both with and without the interchangeable plastic toe pieces, and am happy with the results. The purpose for me was to mostly widen the toe box, and I can definitely notice a difference, no rubbing of my toes against the side of the sneakers at all now, so mission accomplished!

Widens and Stretches shoes very well. Great Product
It is a good tool to widen shoes. I bought the blue one and it functions very well. I put it under stress and no issues so far. I used it on my brooks running shoes that heel was a little tight and the toe area also tight. Left it in for one day then tighten it a couple more turns for another day and shoe fit perfect. I have also used it on leather Cole Haan shoes works great.

Nice but plug attachments fall out & get lost!
Work pretty good, only issue so far is that the plug attachment pieces do not fit snugly, the drilled holes are too large. I’ve already lost a couple & need to buy replacements. Frustrating!

Great Quality!
These are exceptionally good quality and durability. Try them on two of my pairs of stubborn leather shoes and they worked rather quickly! Great cedar smell, you’re very easy to use because of their adjustment screw, a great buy.

stretch my butt!
this product might be fine for stretching shoes much smaller than mine, provided they aren't too sturdy of a shoe. i wear a mens 10.5 give or take depending on the brand of the shoe. i thought buying a pair of shoe stretchers might just be the answer to my prayers, given that everything these days seems like it's made for a person who is half my size. my feet are, apparently, wider than whoever they're making shoes for these days. i have several pairs of shoes that just kill my feet because they're just a little too tight. these shoe stretchers do not seem solid or well made. the plastic and metal that make up the stretching mechanism of these seem cheap and chinsey and i do not hold out much hope that they will win a battle of the wills with a pair of sturdy sneakers, much less a nice pair of leather shoes. the real problem, though, is that these things are barely 3 inches across at the widest. the way that they are designed, the tip fans out at the tip so what stretching they provide is all concentrated at the toe. this might be useful if the shoes crowd your toes, but since the mechanism expands by maybe an inch, this will only be of any use if the footbed of your shoe is significantly less than 4 inches. as an adult male, my size 10.5 shoes measure, on average, 4.25" across the pad, so a stretcher that maxes out at 4" is of limited utility. so, if you have a small pair of gummy or plastic shoes that are either too short for you or for some reason need the frontmost toe area stretched a little, these stretchers might do the trick. do not, however, make the mistake of thinking that you can rely on the description that says they are for men's shoes size 8-12. they are not. they will not stretch a mens 10-10.5 at all except maybe lengthwise, and i suspect that they would either punch a hole through the toe of your shoe or strip the screw if you tried to use them for that. the size on this item is severely misrepresented and the quality seems iffy. you probably should give them a pass, but if not, be sure plan on ordering a size if not two larger than they say if you want it to work.

Amazing and really works
Bought this to see if I could stretch some expensive joggers I bought online that were killing my feet because they were so narrow. Well it actually works amazingly well and now using it on other shoes that were a bit tight.

It works! Saved hundreds on my shoes
So far so good. It came in a nice box. Very easy to understand and use. I’ll check in a week’s time to see how the shoes turn out. I’m happy with the wooden material and the mechanism feels sturdy. The tips are plastic. Edited: I came back 24 hours later to make it a 5 star. One of Birkenstocks was able to get stretched longer for my second toe that was hitting the shoe causing a callous and pain on my foot. My right foot is longer than the other. I couldn’t return these expensive shoes and need to wear orthotics now. The shoe cobbler in town said he couldn’t stretch them lenthwise. and the chiropodist said it would cost about $800 to buy orthotic insoles from him. This shoe stretcher has saved me hundreds of dollars and made me very happy in salvaging my shoes that I’ve put away for months! I can’t wait to stretch two more pairs of Birkenstocks costing me over $500! I don’t need to buy orthotics anymore. Thank you so much.

Great product
All new shoes take a few wears to adjust to foot. But this means our feet are taking the beating. With this product, I just leave them in my shoes for a day or two and they are comfortable as ever. I recommend having a pair at home. Works well with flats as well as heels.
