Would there be room for a credit card between the case and phone?

Probably but it's a snug fitting case, you'd be better off getting the little pocket that sticks to the back. Also, don't quote me here, but I believe the magenetic strip and phone, over time f with each other? I always keep cards and phones and car keys separated for this reason. Ever been locked out of a hotel room cause your phone reset the magnetic strip on your room card? I have.
