Daddy's Angel (Forbidden Reads Book 1)

I'll admit going into this that the daddy kink and the age-gap trope are not things I generally read or are into. Despite that I had this pre-ordered and knew I had to read it. It hooked me right away, from the first chapter. I was so hooked that I didn't put it down, read it from start to finish in one night (was up until a ridiculous time in the morning finishing it). I laughed, fanned myself (seriously, if you're looking for AMAZING steam this is the right book), cried, had moments where I wanted to smack all of the characters, and smiled until my cheeks hurt. This book will put you through the ringer, honestly. The angst (there is more than I thought there would be) moves at a really addicting pace until it's full blown obsession. The characters are unique and thoroughly enjoyable. They are well developed and have a lot of depth. The pacing was really good as well. At no point did I feel like it was dragging or moving too fast; and I never felt bored. Even if you're not sure about the daddy kink or the age-gap trope you absolutely need to give this a read. If you like romance this is a fantastic read. There is a large age-gap between them, but it never feels weird or bad. They feel right together in truth. I 100% suggest giving this a read.

This was one of the better reads I've experienced of K.A. Knight. It's an age gap romance but it's delightfully sweet and steamy. As others have mentioned, there is a ton of "daddy" talk (which doesn't do anything for me), however, I will add that the H has tremendous respect for the h and keeps any dominance strictly in the bedroom. That's just their kink, not how he treats her in general. He treats her like a Queen. I enjoyed how protective, supportive, and loving he was. He doesn't play any games. He goes after the h with everything he can to make her fall for him. Those parts were swoon worthy. Where are those guys??!? The one con I'll mention (can't believe I'm even saying this), is there was way too much sex in this book. I never thought that would be a con but there was soooo much it was almost every 5 pages. It got to be super repetitive and I found myself skipping that to get to the dialogue which was the best part. Knight did a good job of building two characters with great chemistry who filled in missing pieces of the other. The actual romance and relationships were well done. The sex would have honestly been hotter if it took a little longer to start up and if the edgier stuff was gradually built up to as opposed to diving right in by the second shag. Any whooo, still an enjoyable read.

So I am slowly going through and catching up on this author's back catalog and I wanted a book that wasn't super detailed with plot (like some of her epic series/big standalones) and that is what I got with this sexy and heated daddy romance. I have read a ton of M/M daddy tropes and read really one other M/F one (by Katee Roberts) and this one wasn't as good as hers (which I gave a 4 stars). I think the plot was more engaging in the other and this one the audio was good but not stellar the whole way through. Now again I knew what I was going to get going into it and thats why I would give this 3.5 stars (rounded down to 3 - I wish they could give us half star ratings!!). So first off the audio. I like both of these narrators, the male narrator is one of my favorites. I thought he did a fabulous job. His rich tenor and throaty performance was similar to what my mind thought Daddy Tyler would sound like. He did a great job with all the heartache with the twists in this one, the tension he went through with wanting Lexi but not being able to have her, etc. I thought the female narrator wasn't as strong as she has been in other audiobooks for me. I also think because this wasn't duet she was at a poor disadvantage because she couldnt capture that same vibe as the male narrator could. It was a tall order and she tried but again fell short for me. Plot again was not the point of this book haha, it was meant to be a steamy fun daddy taboo romance and I think it accomplished that. I liked the tension (sexual) between Lexi and Tyler. I thought Tyler could have done a better job at handling his kid earlier on, but some of that was because Lexi wasn't upfront with him. I felt bad for the characters with the twist in this one, it definitely gave a good arc to the story. I was happy with how Tyler's dad acted, he was and adorable add-on to the story. I am excited to listen to Stepbrothers next, loved the little hints/cameos she had that lead in well for her story.

This is my first Katie Knight book even tho I had started Den of Vipers with a couple of friends, this is definitely a pleasant surprise! I think it is very nice that the book touched on the traits of a healthy relationships even when everyone else saw them as toxic and judged them for it. I loved how they were each other's home and that they were really good friends that knew about each other's dreams and lives before they started their relationship. I loved the nicknames and the age gap... yes Daddy Tyler ( remind of anyone 🥴?) and his angel. I think they had their bumps and imperfections but they were always honest with each other, something that really helped them throughout. I think my only suggestions would be pacing and scenes feeling a bit repetitive ( yes including the hot times 🔥). Other than that I think it was quite a fun read... esp if your looking for a really steamy forbidden age gap romance! 🤩 My Rating: 4.3 🌟

So cute! I know how that sounds but it’s actually a very spicy and cute story about meeting the right person at the wrong time. I feel like romances don’t really tackle that attraction it is such a big part of the relationship or romance. Before you catch feelings or like how think or behavior. You find this inner connection where you feel like this is it, this is a person I could spend time with. Lexi is dancer and singer, her ambitions has always been to be happy. To live life the way she wants even if others disagree. Tyler is her boyfriend’s ex father and the most attractive guy she’s ever met. But after a break up, some stolen moments and tragedy they’ll have to find the strength to keep love alive and stay together.

Daddy's Angel is devilishly naughty, sexy, and dirty but in all the best ways and I'm not just talking about Lexi. Tyler and Lexi are the perfect taboo couple. Their chemistry will set your panties on fire, melt your kindle, set your paperback in flames and ruin you for real men. Set in Sin City you would expect their relationship to more accepted but that's not the case. Not only is there a major age gap between Lexi and Tyler but Daddy's Angel was first with his son. Sorry junior but daddy really does do it better. Lexi is everything Tyler never knew he wanted in a woman, but Lexi while confident in her own body has issues from her past to over come before being able to fully be with Tyler. This is what a taboo book should be! Don't let the sexiness of this book fool you. These characters are also very complex and the story takes some diabolical turns that shocked me senseless. But that is KA Knight for you and I want more! Can't wait to read more of her books.

This book would’ve been better if it were half the length. It was just too drawn out, and (I can’t believe I’m going to say this) there was too much sex. Don’t get me wrong; all of the sex scenes were super hot and very well written. It just got repetitive after a while. I loved the author’s writing style. I also thought the relationship dynamic between the MCs was wonderful and super hot. The major plot twist that caused the largest problem for our couple actually made me angry. It kind of ruined the book for me. It just didn’t fit the story line at all in my opinion. Because of the mixture of strong positives and strong negatives, this book is a three star in my opinion. Strong writing style, hot sex, really crappy plot twist, and too drawn out.

I really wanted to like this book.. I love this trope. I just could not deal with the need for revenge after her ex cheated on her even though she was fantasizing about his dad and teasing him while they were together.. also the amount of times he would call her angel lol it just felt excessive. Anyways, if you loved it I'm not hating.. lord knows I've got some doosies on my top shelf hehe but the writting style just wasn't for me.

I loved reading this book. The characters were brilliant and I liked the story. The plot was minimal, the book mostly spicy scenes and relationship based. The story did take an unexpected twist which deepened the plot. It actually hit the feels far more than I expected, and I think it was because the characters were so likeable. Daddy Tyler, my God, he was perfect. He was so attentive and his love for Lexi was clear. I loved Lexi too. She was really down to earth. Tyler and Lexi had a spark well before they got together which they fought against. When they gave in, it was explosive. They were soulmates, which made the twist hit me even more. I loved the happy ending and the epilogue. It was great to see Lexi amd Tyler getting the ending they deserved, especially after what they had been through. Overall, this book was fantastic and I would definitely recommend it. Even though it was mostly spice, the minimal plot there had an impact. Jessreviews.co.uk

When you are in the mood for Extreme level spice, no holding back this is your book. Age gap, boyfriends dad, just enough story but 90% spice. Really well written, the 'speedbump' was really well handled too

This book was amazing, all that heat and that touch of angst. It was everything. I highly enjoyed it. And of course that happily ever after!

Okay, I need a Tyler. He and Lexi are couple goals. I was so invested in their relationship I felt all their feelings, their love for each other, the grief, the heartbreak... It was insane. That ending was just perfect. They found each other, they went through a freaking hard time and my heart broke for and with them but they knew they were each other's forever. Absolutely loved this book!
