UV Light Stain Detector: 51 LED Black Light Finds Hidden Pet Urine

I bought this blacklight to track down some mystery smells in my house and it works amazingly well. It has so many little lights inside that it shines incredibly bright, easily lighting up a huge section of the carpet at once. You do not have to get down on the floor to see where your pets had an accident because it makes the spots glow completely bright in the dark. The metal handle feels heavy and durable, definitely not like cheap plastic. It is super easy to use and takes regular batteries. I completely recommend picking this up if you have dogs or cats. It is a fantastic tool for making sure your floors are actually clean and eliminating odors for good.

Works really well, which is either a good thing because it shows what fluoresces, or a frustrating thing because it shows that cat pee fluoresces (yes, I am having my carpets enzyme-cleaned). Also, scorpions are fluorescent. Just remember that the black light only works in the dark.

Strong flashlight works well. Easy to use. Not the strongest backlight but works well.

I don’t generally write reviews but I bought this, not for pee, but for finding hornworms on my tomatoes. lol but it works! It’s the most satisfying thing. I found so many hornworms in my garden at night. It’s truly a lifesaver. A tomato saver :) It did get a bit warm after I used, which was a good 15-20 minutes. The light color on it works very well! It illuminated those guys so well and I also saw other night time creatures that I hadn’t noticed during the day. It’s cute light and fit in my pocket too. Overall. A great investment. :)

The best black light purchase and well worth the price tag. Super versatile, I used it for work and shower inspections. Easy click on and off button, never any issues perfect size in hand and range is a good 5-6 feet and works best in total darkness but still shows effects even with some light.

My kitty started spraying her territory due to a feral cat right outside my door. Bought a carpet shampoo machine, but needed to see the spray. This showed the urine as bright yellow so I could easily get it removed.

I bought this UV flashlight out of curiosity, and I absolutely loved it! My son and I turned off all the lights in the house and had so much fun exploring all the hidden stains in our carpet. I was honestly surprised by how many stains this flashlight revealed! 🤣 It turned into a fun activity for us, even though that definitely wasn’t the purpose of the product. It works great and was a fun little purchase!

This UV flashlight was bought last April so this is a long term review. I know the typical uses, find stains, pet surprises long past, look at security features on Canadian currency etc, however I needed this for another reason and I'm surprised no one has mentioned it. A long time ago we had put up those little 'glow in the dark' stars all over the ceiling in my child’s room that you can buy in packages of 20 or so, some are one inch some being roughly four inches in diameter and while a normal house light can be used to 'charge' the glow in the dark stars there is also another secret weapon. The secret weapon are UV lights, they will charge glow in the dark items in seconds, giving a much more powerful glow, much more quickly than normal house lights. In the past we had a different large UV light but that finally died so I wanted something new, came across this and with Prime we got it the next day. That evening I wanted to try it out so I took roughly 60 seconds to cover the entire ceiling going back and forth with the light in a pattern to cover all the ceiling stars. Turned off the light, it was like we had our old big UV light back and our child had their own personal Milky Way for the evening. We have also tried the typical uses, finding old pet issues, finding stains that have been 'missed' and still needed to be cleaned however since UV lights are so good at this task I'm sure the hotel industry hate these things. Some might think it's kind of weird to bring something like this on a holiday however the enjoyment with a family holiday over being sick on your holiday, enjoyment will always come first in my book ! Another aspect this can be used for is as a science curiosity. There are many, many items around our everyday lives that will fluoresce under a UV light. I use this personally to check authenticity of amber which is a huge issue as many people pass off plastic and bakelite as true amber. Amber will glow a certain way whereas other items glow differently or not glow at all. I'll add a couple pictures to show what I mean. Various minerals will also fluoresce. One suggestion I could give is to grab this UV flashlight and go for a walk at night, you'll be amazed at what you find in that hidden world ! - The flashlight itself is a heavy duty metal so any sort of drop or bump and this thing will take it just fine. - The on/off button is rubber covered so if you want to use this where it's wet there isn't going to be an issue. - I'm not going to count to verify there are 51 LED's however I'll trust what the seller says as it is darn bright. - Both flashlight ends screw off however to access the batteries only the base will allow you to take them out. - The body itself has a stamped pattern to give you better grip, I’ve found this quite useful when we're using it during an outside evening rain walk. - It takes three AA batteries. We've bought rechargeable AA batteries from Amazon and that has worked out very well for our needs. For all the hours we’ve used this UV flashlight, nothing has failed or broke. We changed the batteries one time only so the flashlight seems to be good on them. *** I’ll pose a Science Challenge to anyone else who has a UV light, go around your home in and out to see what interesting things you can find that fluoresce. Take a look at Nerf products and especially some liquid soaps ! *** I whole heartedly recommend this to absolutely everyone An honest review by a science enthusiast
