Good Switch. Documentation Could Be Better, But It Works.
Important to Note: Terminals 2 & 4 are tied together, internally, and Term's 6 & 8 are tied together, internally. The diagram shows this as "1 Phase" and "2 Phase". These connections cannot be removed. There is also a supplied (removable) jumper, installed between Term's 4 & 6, which effectively ties all the even-numbered terminals together. If using a "common" supply (e.g., one input, with four selectable outputs), then leave the jumper in (between 4 & 6) and supply any one of the EVEN side terminals with your "common" supply power. Then the ODD numbered terminals will be switched ON in sequence, as the switch is rotated, as follows: Position 0 (zero) everything is OFF. Position 1: turns on terminal #1 only. Position 2: turns on Term. #3 only, #1 goes OFF. Position 3: turns on Term. #5 only, #3 goes OFF. Position 4: turns on Term. #7 only, #5 goes OFF. In addition, all of the contacts are "Break before Make", so there is "overlap" of the outputs (one turns OFF before the next turns ON). This is a decent rotary switch. It rotates easily without much force, but has good, firm detents in each position. The handle/knob is decently sized, and is easy to operate. I used the 4-position/8-contact unit, along with the small "Baomain" matching enclosure (sold separately, also on Amazon) as the selector switch for a remote, multi-port RF amplifier selector box. It operates remote relays that switch between 1 of 4 different radio amplifiers, using a 12-volts DC supply. Works very well.

The wiring diagram is wrong and the knob screw is radically too short
If you really need to switch 4 pairs of contacts, this isn't for you. The switch I received has 4 of the contacts common, and simply switches continuity to each of the other 4 contacts individually one at a time (or to none at all, at 0). This works fine for me, and saves me the step of jumpering all the commons (I'm switching one common line among 4 potential outputs). The other issue is that the screw that holds the knob to the selector shaft is comically short. In a piece of notebook paper it might get enough purchase to hold, but in an 1/8" panel it barely bites and mounted in a piece of 1/4" ABS it can't even feel the female threads of the shaft. So I'm going to have to order this tiny silly metric screw from McMaster. Other than those issues, it seems well made and is working fine so far.

Circuits are not isolated
No matter how I wired it the wrong things kept turning or fuses got blown on so I got out my continuity checker and discovered that there were many other connections besides the 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 that were listed in the schematics. in the off position 2-4 and 6-8 are connected. position 1 has 1-2-4 and 6-8 connected, position 2 has 2-3-4 and 6-8 connected, position 3 has 5-6-8 and 2-4 connected, position 4 has 6-7-8 and 2-4 connected. That means 2-4 and 8-6 are connected in all 5 switch positions. With all these additional connection you can inadvertently create connections that you do not want. I spent an hour sketching out over a dozen layouts to try to work around all the additional connections and couldnt get anything to work for my 4 circuits. The only way to wire it is with a single power source going to 2,4,6,8 and having the devices on 1,3,5,7. If you try to use it with multiple voltages, hot and neutral and ac/dc you will have all sorts of problems because the circuits are not isolated. I'll find a use for it eventually but it wont work for my current project.

Misrepresented in the chart of how it operates.
This switch probably works fine in the right use. I looked at the chart that is in the views of how it works. It shows that with each turn of the switch, a different set of contacts is closed. It does not show that the previous one stays closed. So in position 1, 1&2 are closed. In position 2, 1&2 are closed and so are 3&4. Etc, until you get to the final position and all contacts are closed. The chart makes it look like 1&2 will open at position 2 and the next will close. Nope. Other then that it is a nice switch, but useless to me
