These adventure-approved hybrid shoes bring the support and protection you need for any kind of wet-dry fun. Featuring a quick-drying upper and amazing traction on super slippery surfaces. Teva's Omnium hiking shoe brings the best of both worlds. This part-sandal, part-shoe hybrid has the light weight and breathability of a sandal, along with the added foot protection of a shoe. It also features three points of adjustability for enhanced fit and comfort. Teva is an authentic icon in the outdoor industry. Founded in the early 1980's by a Colorado River guide, Teva pioneered the sport-sandal category. For more than 20 years on rivers, in canyons, and across the trails of the great outdoors, athletes and enthusiasts have traveled the globe comfortably and confidently in Teva footwear. Providing positive contributions to the world in which we play is at the core of everything Teva stands for. The Teva name itself is a Hebrew word meaning "nature" and the hand logo is the Hopi symbol for "friendship" and "water." Teva supports the outdoor athletic lifestyle and remains committed to innovation in outdoor performance footwear, the platforms which carry enthusiasts beyond the offices of the day-to-day and onto the rivers, trails, and canyons of the next adventure. Review: Excellent choice & worth the money - I love Teva products. These are so worth the money!! The size fits perfect, the color is just as pictured, traction is amazing, the thickness is great but not heavy. No odor or rubbery smell. The arch support is a huge plus for me. I’ve tried other brands and just ended up returning them. My feet hurt just doing a few steps. These are very comfortable. They also don’t catch my pinky toe like other brands. Review: Great shoe but size up - I have bought Omnium several times over the years and love it for walking. It has great support and has kept my plantar fasciitis from returning. But it seems that some time in the past few years it was downsized. I had the same experience as many buyers, that in my usual size 8 the new one was a great struggle to get my foot through the opening. Compared to my old pair, it was 1/2" smaller in diameter at the opening and 1/4" shorter in the rubber sole (so it was not just that the upper in my old one was stretched). I reordered in size 8-1/2 and it measured and fit just like my old size 8. If you find the opening snug but not a struggle you have the right size, but if you have to fight to get it on you would do well to try the next size. The footbed is not much bigger. The upper will soften and stretch a bit with wear, but not by a lot.

Compared to Ahnu sport sandals, and 6 others
In an effort to replace my worn out, beloved pair of Ahnu sports sandals, which are no longer manufactured, I recently purchased the following shoes, all in size 9M: Teva Omnium Slate Merrell Women's J034170 Choprock Shandal Hiking Shoe Merrell Women's All Out Blaze Sieve Water Shoe Merrell womens Water Shoe HYDROTREKKER LTR SHANDAL Brown Oak Women's Closed Toe Outdoor Hiking Water Shoes Sport Sandals Northside Santa Rosa Sport Sandal Teva Terra Float Active Lace Wild Dove Womens Sporty Sandal Note that I have a 2” arch to support in this review. Yes, it really measures 2”. Even the podiatrist was surprised. Okay, here’s the rundown: The most rugged, most sportlike, and least sandal-like were the Merrells. If you’re looking for stability, support, and good traction, look at Merrell. All of them ran longer and more narrow, particularly in the heel. The Choprock felt lighter and more open than the All Out Blaze or the Hydrotrekker. The Brown Oak pair felt far larger in general and wider, specifically. My feet flopped around in them. Little molding or cushioning in the footbed; but then, that’s relative to the Merrells. The Northside Santa Rosa was the most open and least sporty of them all. No molding or cushioning in the footbed. No real support. Scratchy interior. Better protection than open sandals, though. If you need to seriously lockdown your ankles, look to the Teva Omnium Slate. I liked the security, but it didn’t allow enough space in the instep for me. These took slightly more work to put on with the additional buckle. So, weigh whether you need stability or convenience more. Finally, and my favorite, the Teva Terra Float Active Lace felt immediately comfortable: soft interior; snug, but not tight; ample support; sufficient space in the instep to allow for an additional ¾ orthotic for arch support; supportive, but not clunky; plenty of breathability; more coverage (in mesh) for the forefoot than my Ahnu pair, which should help keep out debris; sufficient traction for my everyday activities. Ahnu had been an offshoot of Teva, and is now manufactured by Teva. So, it makes sense that the Tevas were a good replacement for my old Ahnus. I’m grateful I found a pair that would keep my feet comfortable.

Great support & stability but not for hot days
These sandals come a bit bigger but also provide 3 ways to adjust width and length, which doesn't allow quick in and out of those shoes. The main problem for me was the back side being too high and coarse, creating some friction on both feet. The sandals were to replace sneakers and hiking boots during hot weather but that friction was a serious problem for me. I was able to insert my 3/4 orthotic insules and the shoes were still roomy.

Perfect for my short but wide feet
Very comfortable and appropriately stylish. This is my second pair of this specific shoe; I completely wore out the first pair and it did take awhile. I get compliments on their style. A great sandal!

Super comfy!
I love these "sandals"!! The are very comfortable and sturdy. I've had Tevas in the past and they hold up great, I expect these to last me years. The adjustments across the foot as well as at the heel are a plus. These do run true to size. I usually wear a 6.5 but read the reviews that you should size up, so I ordered a 7, but they were too big, so I returned (was super easy) and ordered the 6.5 and they fit perfect. The only thing I'm not crazy about is they are not easy to put on. You really have to pull on the heel, but I guess that's why they fit so good. I got the gray blue color and it's exactly as pictured, very good neutral colors.

Finally a wide water shoe!
If you truly are a size 8.5 and wish for a wide shoe, this will be perfect. I'm actually an 8 but often buy 8.5 to get a little extra room. With this being 8.5 AND wide, it was too big for me so returned it. I wish there were other sizes in Wide. Soft around the ankle, great toe cap, easy to snug. Would be a great all around water/light hiker.

Horriblemente incómodas
Las estrené ayer y son horriblemente incómodas estas sandalias. Me sacaron dolorosas ampollas en la parte de atrás de ambos pies, en una caminata de 30 min. Son una pesadilla!!
