No part of it has any evidence to show any flaking of any sort. This is rather well-made.

Not sticky as such (doesn’t mark) but doesn’t move about the desk!

There is only one and that is all you need. The padding is noice and thick so that when using the mouse your wrist is supported and your hand has no physical contact with your desk / table. IT is really comfortable to use and it is a big relief when you notice that your wrist and hand don't ache any more, after long periods at the PC.
