Beat Router For Home Office
Total game changer! Upgraded from a Linksys AC3200 to the Netgear AX 6600 because, I was tired of slow connection speeds and constantly loosing a signal, even after I upgrading from 500 MBPS to 1 GBPS. Holy smokes! I no longer drop from Teams and Google meetings! There is nothing worse than dropping offline while in a client meeting. Buffering and watching the spinny wheel days are over! I wish I had upgraded to this router sooner! Exceptional speed and coverage throughout my 2800 sq ft home. No need for wifi extenders, even in the backyard! Super easy setup, which was my biggest concern, since I had over 20 devices connected to my previous router. Reliability and speed is what I was looking for, and although it's a little pricey, this router efficiently manages numerous devices connected simultaneously without sacrificing speed or stability. Totally worth every penny!

Excellent Coverage easy to install.
Relaced my older Netgear router with this new Nighthawk because the old one could not keep up. I was having to use multiple extenders throughout my house to accommodate all my equipment, especially outside security cameras. After installing the new router, I could actually hook up all cameras to one wi-fi channel and the cameras react much faster when I need to use them from my app. Not to mention the strength of the signal to my computers, tvs, and smart home devices. No more losing my wi-fi at the most inconvenient times.

Impressed
Coming off of a system that was probably at least 10 years old this was a substantial upgrade in speed and range. The set up was very easy using the Nighthawk app. I love being able to see in a couple clicks all the devices that are on the network. This makes adding wired and wireless devices back to the new network really easy even with older devices.

Netgear RAX70 is Fast
Super fast Wi-Fi, great range all over the house, and easily handles lots of devices. Plugged it in, set it up, and everything just works.

Works well, but beware the app
The router was very easy to install through my hard-wired desktop computer. Because I named the 2.4 GHz network the same as on the old router, with the same password, all my smart devices connected automatically. But the Nighthawk app that I installed on my phone for remote access to the router is atrocious. I uninstalled it after NETGEAR insisted that I create a NETGEAR account and agree to a predatory privacy policy. Not going to happen. The automatic firmware update also didn't update to the newest version 1.0.20.174 posted on the NETGEAR website, rather only 1.0.19. xxx (forgot the last digits). But because everything works smoothly so far (30 minutes after the installation), four stars.

Very happy - excellent router!
Really happy with the product. Setup was a breeze and everything is lighting fast. I signed up for FiOS and my old router could not make use of the FiOS gigabit speed. This new router is AMAZING. I am on WIRELESS and getting double what I was getting on the old router. Wireless is supposed to be slow! Or so I thought. This router has a lot of great features including a guest network, dynamic DNS, and automatic switching between two high-speed 5GHz networks. The router interface is extremely similar to my old Netgear but its just cleaner and more modern which makes it enjoyable to use. The Nighthawk app, eh- take it or leave it. It's a cool option to have but sort of unnecessary in my opinion. My only complaints are as follows. Documentation is lacking on what the "high-speed" port is on the back, and how to make use of it, and the option where you can combine two ports into one super-speed port. There isn't a description of this or really any explanation how to turn this on. There also isn't a good description of how the antenna work so you are left testing it out yourself or guessing if you can mount the unit to a wall without affecting its performance. If you are deciding between a bunch of routers, the RAX70 is the best router to get. If you have the money for a more expensive one, go for it, but I don't think you are getting too much more for your money, likewise, I wouldn't choose any of the lesser models as there are some important features exclusive to the RAX70. I wouldn't go with any other brand. Netgear has excellent products and I have always had Netgear routers and never had one fail on me. All of them I had to replace as I got other equipment but never due to the product itself failing in any capacity. Overall I'm impressed with the product. Setup was a breeze, and I couldn't be happier with my new Netgear Nighthawk!

The best yet!
I guess you get what you pay for. Not a cheap router by any means, but this beast delivers. A new ISP recently introduced fiber to our area and I immediately ditched my 60Mbps(down) & 5Mbps(up) provider. Although I signed up for the 600Mbps plan (upgradable to 1Gbps), my older router just couldn’t handle it and I was only receiving about 230Mbps(down). Another problem I faced was the lack of range - simply moving to my bedroom about 30 feet away left me with almost no useable WiFi reception. I really wanted to take advantage of the plan I was subscribed to, so I started doing a little research about newer router offerings. I narrowed my search to the NETGEAR Nighthawk range and decided to take a gamble on this new model 6600. I’m no expert, but I must admit that I’m thrilled at my user experience thus far. I selected the “Smart Connect” option which simply allows my router to determine the best frequency to utilize. My connected devices would optimize their connection by automatically and seamlessly switching between 2.4GHz and 5GHz. The range of this router is also greatly superior to the one I retired. My residence is slightly over 1400 sq ft and this router has no problem penetrating walls and doors to provide good coverage. This coverage also extends well into my 300 sq ft garage, front lawn and backyard. The NETGEAR Nighthawk 6600 also provides a 30-day free trial of NETGEAR Armor and Bitdefender Security. I like it and have installed it on all my mobile devices. The annual plan costs $69.99 but mine came with a promo code (armor35), knocking $24.50 off the original cost and bringing the subscription to a more reasonable $45.49. I would highly recommend this router to anyone who would like to increase the coverage range and WiFi speed of their existing set-up. Almost a must-have for fiber connections.

Total JUNK
I bought the NETGEAR AX6600 to upgrade my old Almond+ router. My Almond+ router is 5 years old. I've got video intercoms, ring devices, Echo shows, MyQ, Wyze sprinkler controller, 3 Tivos, 4 Tivo mini---39 devices total. I gave the new router my old network name and password (Netgear suggestion) so I wouldn't have to reformat all my devices to the NETGEAR router. I spent 2 days working on this project, 4 calls to NETGEAR tech support, hours watching a blue line progress across my cell phone screen while it waited for the router to boot up, again and again, and I got no where. ONE device hooked up to the new router (my MyQ garage door controllers). The other 38 devices refused to connect to the NETGEAR router after unplugging and plugging back in to power. (This seems very strange that one device connects using the same name and password). The 8 intercoms simply would not connect at all, no matter what I did. Two Echo devices would communicate with the NETGEAR router, but ONLY after I cleared them out and entered them as new devices. Mind you, I was using the SAME network name and password. Some devices would not connect because it said the password was not correct (yet 1 device successfully connected using the exact same name and password). I'm not going to clear and reenter 38 devices so they work with this NETGEAR router. The tech support comes from India. The phone connection is terrible. The background noise is distracting. They sound like they are talking from inside a box. The language barrier is brutal. Most things had to be repeated numerous times. Just when you think you are making progress, you are disconnected. They ask for your phone number in case you are disconnected, sure. Do they ever call you back? NO. You must start over, giving the same information over and over again--EVEN WHEN THEY GIVE YOU A CASE NUMBER FOR REFERENCE! It is all I can do to prevent myself from drop kicking this %!@#^ router out into the street and run it over with my car! I'd still be out 2 days of my time, frustration beyond belief, and $330 I paid for it at Amazon. This thing is DEFECTIVE. I will never buy anything made my NETGEAR again. Looking forward to boxing this JUNK up and shipping back to AMAZON.
