Accurate at speed
Works great on my boat. Consistently gives depth at 35 mph up to about 50 feet. Have passed over areas where I know the depth, and at speed, it is accurate. Not at all concerned about cutting out at 50 feet of depth, as at that point, I know I have plenty of water.

Works Great
Moved my HDS 7 to the trolling motor and added HDS 8 to console. Needed a transducer for the trolling motor. Easy to install and works great.

no bracket
this item does not come with the bracket, just the kit to install it. I ordered this item twice and still no bracket. pictures are misleading as they all show the bracket .Had to order bracket seperately

Work with Lowrance 4 chirp just fine
I liked that it worked on my fish finder it saved me from buying a new fish finder.

I dont know what this is but my brother asked me to get it from him to use for his boat and he was happy with it.

Connector MAY be larger than your previous part.
Product works great. I had the HST version years ago, but it got knocked out by a log. I ordered the HS version by mistake and wanted the temperature reading again. This unit's "screw cover " was larger in diameter. It would not fit in the predrilled hole used with the other two connectors. I wasn't prepared for that surprise and didn't have a bit to redrill the hole. I used smaller bits to shave the inside, but had to sand down the connector to finally push it through. A 15 minute job took me about 2 hours of futzing.
