Jacobs Twiglets Original 150 G (Pack Of 6)

So we stopped at a British Pub when visiting the Finger Lakes in New York and had a delightful chat with the owner (authentically British) and server who were behind the bar. They mentioned Twiglets as a favorite snack so we had to try them. Very interesting and addictive taste. Somewhat of a charred or burnt taste but in an oddly good way. They're a bit expensive but a truly delightful snack. They may not be for everyone but we devour them quickly every time we open a bag.

Twiglets have a special place in my heart and stomach! I always crave the bitter and salty taste of them, imagine like eating the crust of a pizza with a hint of smokiness.

My British husband grew up on these and loves them. I bought as a Christmas treat for him. They arrived ahead of schedule, tasted great (per my hubby), were fresh and packaged so they didn't get crushed in transit. these are an acquired taste (which I have not acquired) but if you like them, buy these.

I enjoyed these fairly regularly when I was living in the UK and wanted to introduce them to my American wife so we ordered this 6 pack and now I'm wishing I'd only ordered one pack. They taste burnt and it's almost as if one is eating kindling. Almost no flavour other than burnt. I checked with my son, in Northern Ireland who tells me that the ones he gets still taste like Marmite, as I remembered, and not burnt. Are these rejects that they sell on the American market? Nasty.

My kids were watching Mr. Bean serve actual twigs to his guests at a holiday party, and didn't believe there actually were such a thing. I love them, and have enjoyed getting these. Thoroughly enjoyed! The kids don't really like them, but that's OK. The price was high but fair for how unavailable these are in general in the US. If on the fence, I would go ahead and order them. Can't go wrong.
