I like that it's compact and simple. It's definitely cheap material, but I just needed a cheap little test phone for work, so it does the job.

Even though the brand is literally “CHINO” it worked amazingly well. I honestly didnt find a single thing wrong with it, and it outperformed all my expectations.

Light weight, easy to use, redial only works when connected to the circuit. Once the connection is broken there is no memory retention of the last number dialed. Wires are a little stiff, I made some modifications, adding a few inches of more flexible wire to the clips. Not bad for the price.

Wow. Well, considering the price, I wasn't expecting a lot, but I was definitely underwhelmed when I got the box. The only unique part of this set is the adapter cord that has an RJ11 plug on one end and alligator clips on the other. I could have made my own, but decided to go with this set.The phone is very lightweight and inexpensive, but it works. So, you plug the phone into one end of the RJ11 coupler, and the alligator clip test leads into the other end of the coupler, and you are now ready to start probing your phone lines, listening on the phone for dial tone. If you want to find out the number of the line you are connected to, you can call your cell phone with the test set phone, and your cell phone will show the incoming phone number.The second set of test leads is a relatively useless test probe made for use with a proprietary connector block design manufactured by Krone and used mostly in Europe. It is highly unlikely that you will ever come across anything like this in the US. I'm considering cutting off the test probe and replacing it with a pair of spring-loaded test clips.I will say the whole thing is very compact and won't take up much room in a toolbox. I would suggest that the manufacturer consider replacing the second proprietary test leads with something useful, and include a nice carrying pouch -- I would have paid a few dollars more for that, and felt like I received a better product.

I keep this in my tool box for testing phone lines. I wouldn't want to use it for regular calls, it works OK but is very small.
