Hamster Bathroom Small Animal Sand Bath Container Removable Iron Wire Acrylic Cage Accessories Suitable for Gerbil Syrian Hamster Mouse (Blue)

I recently got 3 lovely female mice and have them in a critter trail hamster cage so that they can play in tubes, they also enjoy parakeet toys. On the critter trail cage there is a space on the top side where the tube from the outside just kind of stops like a drop. I had thought about installing a turn tube there to the other top tube entrance but it’d be very difficult to do, because of how tight the space is, I’m not sure it’s even possible. Due to this conundrum, when my mice climb up from the bottom to go up their tube toys, the top inside portion connected to a T/tri hole tube just has nothing and it’s like an empty drop in the cage. I decided to buy this cute little hamster bath item to convert into an extra nest area where the empty hole inside the cage at the top is. It wouldn’t fit the critter trail cage without some altercation. I had to use a dremel tool to sand off the plastic threading on the hamster bath orb, as it’s meant for a different cage and isn’t compatible with kaytee critter trail. The plastic is soft acrylic and could probably easily be done by hand with rough grit sand paper too. When I removed the threading, it became compatible and slid in perfectly, isn’t loose or too tight, it’s nice and snug and matches the cage decor and looks like it came as a set. Also the mice really love it, and I can sleep easier now not worrying about them falling out of the empty hole on the cage when they play in their tubes. It doesn’t obstruct the wheel toy or anything either, wheel came with the critter trail hamster cage set and is a 6.5” size. It just needs to be positioned to the side a little bit.

This is really great. Very smart design... extremely practical and versatile. Instead of popping on it has a screw down design so it works with a variety of cages that are normally not universal with the port holes. When you need to change the sand you just flip up the window and slide out the cup... easy to dump and clean. My little hamster has 2... one for baths and 1 for a potty. Works great with hamster sand or chinchilla dust. I definitely recommend... it keeps your little buddy's cage much cleaner when they potty in these instead of in their cage.

Thought I I got this and it would connect to the hamster habit trail system for my granddaughter, but it did not and hamster would not use for powder/dust bath.

Very easy to install and to clean. Somehow my mouse just knows he's supposed to do his business in there.
