✅ excellent stretch for thick ankles/calves
As pictured/advertised. Especially welcomed by people with thicker ankles/calves, as they have a less binding & more comfortable stretch than “everyday” socks. For a man wearing a size 11-1/2 shoe with thick ankles & calves, I purchased three sets of Size XL in 3 different colors. All were uniform in quality, thickness, softness and fit, and the fit was spot on. They are very thick & warm. These do have a noticeably cushioned bottom, so the shoes you plan to wear with them need to have enough extra bit of foot room to accommodate a quite thick sock. Would buy again.

My favorite socks.
Lasted 2 years. Then the heals started failing. But they are my favorite socks so I plan to buy again. Very comfortable. And upper holds itself up all day. No slipping. No annoying seams.

Excellent socks if you know what you’re buying.
Best non-merino hiking socks I’ve used. Great value per pair. Sturdy, good elastic, and stay in place. Low crew height. Will easily clear all but the highest top boots. Medium weight. Excellent cushion. But don’t expect heavyweight, super warm socks. These are 3 season socks for activities where you need extra cushion, and they deliver. You don’t want to go on long, tough hikes in $5.00 socks, but these will fit the needs of most hikers on most hikes, and are excellent for daily wear, too. Nice touch with the L and R to tell you which sock goes on which side.

Scout socks.
My kid didn’t want scout socks because they look dumb. Now I have to make him wear other clothes because all he wants to wear are these socks. Socks on everything, socks for dinner. I look in his eyes and socks look back at me. Where does it end? You’ve been warned.
