The negative reviews seem unjust.
I rarely write reviews, but upon purchasing and using this product and seeing the onslaught of negative reviews, I had to sit down and type one out. First, I do not understand the negative reviews. Maybe some critical thinking skills aren't being applied when others have bought this product. You see lots of "My iPhone/Android camera takes better quality pictures!" in the complaints. Let's dissect this. Most smartphones nowadays retail for nearly $1,000 in total, and a key element in their advertising is not only the quality of the built in cameras but the constant improves from model to model. Of course, a smart phone camera is going to produce better quality pictures. It's one of the reasons we spend our hard earned money on them. If all we needed was a device to call and text, we'd still be using flip phones. Let's put our thinking caps on and remember why the little computers in our pockets can take excellent if not astounding quality pictures - because they're built to! Now, this Kodak camera does state it prints "superior photo" quality, but it does not boast "state of the art" quality or even "smart phone" quality, because it knows its place and that would be a flat out lie. Read the fine print, people! Superior does not automatically equate to breathtaking, especially when you look at the product itself. Once again, this is a basic camera/tool. It is not built to be an equal to a smartphone which is essentially, as I said, a mini-computer; It is not built to be an equal to even the lowest tier of professional photography cameras. It IS however, built to be a simple, basic photo taking device that you can also connect to your phone, iPad or other supported device if you choose to. It does what it says on the box, so I am happy with this purchase. I suspect other customers were expecting something far more complex and souped up, and that is not what this camera is. Now, the only cons I have for it is that printing process is a little slow, but it takes less than a minute. The paper quality is good though, so I'll let this slide. You can't have everything, especially if you're buying something that is quite budget when it comes to bells and whistles. And that's another thing I'd like to mention - this prints on modern day photo paper. Do not expect the thick, flimsy paper that actual polaroid cameras printed on. If that's what you're after, then you'll be better off heading over to eBay or a pawn shop. This is a modern take on an old school favorite. Understand what you're buying, and you will be a satisfied customer.

Nostalgia
Perfect for taking nostalgic-esque photos. The photos printed appears a little dark and a little blurry, just like how it would on old early 2000s cameras, but that’s what I bought this for, it can also print straight from your iPhone, just download and use the app, and you can even enhance or edit the photos you took with your iPhone before printing directly to the camera through the app.

poorly designed, buggy software
I'm not sure what market this device is supposed to target, but it's certainly can't be those who have used the old Polaroids before. the printing process is slow and awkward, and the print quality isn't that great the cartridges are small and kinda expensive considering the size of the print and the poor quality on top of that, there's a digital preview screen available on the camera that allows the user to take a few pictures and then select the best one to print before committing -- except the software that runs on the camera is buggy and the images on screen never advance, only showing the latest snap. There appears to be no "half-press the shutter button" to focus either, which is a common thing on digital cameras, and the screen gets stuck on the last picture take, so every subsequent picture has to be taking kinda blindly. how does this product even ship?

Fun and cute camera that can print your photos
Bought this for my sister's wedding to use as a fun way to add photos the the Guest book. Overall, it is simple and easy to use. The battery holds a good charge that lasted roughly 10 hours. The flash setting seemed to drown out the faces in the picture, so it's best to use in a well lit room, or during the day. I would advise against trying to snap photos in a dark setting using flash. The camera prints the images you take with a simple push of a button, but it certainly is NOT instant. More around 45-60 seconds before the photo is done printing and you're able to remove it. Quality is so-so. Again, it works well in the light and images come out better when you print them. However, you can also connect the camera to your phone using Bluetooth, and select photos to print that way. Those came out a lot better, but that's also due to most phones having a high-quality camera these days.

Just for fun!
I’ve printed several pictures and am impressed with the quality and ease of use. It is heavier than I care to carry on a regular basis, and the warnings about heat and humidity made me realize a large part of the year I shouldn’t risk using outdoors since I live in southwest Florida. Being able to access my phone photos is great because the resolution is better on them than the camera itself, and I don’t need to carry it around. The one issue I had—the USB cord for charging is useless. The white part in the device is too thick and I could not get it to plug into any of my USB ports. Fortunately I had others on hand.

great camera, battery does fade fast though
I have printed a couple photos and I love it. I do not know how well it works compared to others this is the first camera I have bought. I love that I can print photos from my phone as I just lost my dog a few days before getting this. Only problem is that the battery seems to fade fast and it never gets to 100% for me it is always 80%. but over all I love it.

Works 60% of the time
First, this a neat little camera that's always a hit at parties. It's really fun to print photos right away and everyone loves this camera! I considered a Polaroid, but decided on this this one instead. Here are the differences: A Polaroid camera uses film. If you took a bad photo, you just spent $2 on that photo. The Kodak camera is a digital camera with a built-in printer. This camera has a little 1.5 inch screen that lets you kind of see your picture and decide if you want to print it. The built - in camera is not very good. If you're taking pictures indoors at night, I recommend lighting up the shot using the flashlight on your phone. You can also just take the picture on your phone, then use the Kodak app to send it over via bluetooth and use this camera as a printer. Those all sound like cool features, so I bought it. Here's how it went: I climbed up in the treehouse in my back yard to take a picture of some squirrels. The squirrels cooperated and didn't run away. Unfortunately, it appears this camera is harder to control than wild squirrels, as it completely failed to print the first photo. The printer portion of this camera contains a cartridge with 10 photos and ink inside. When you print, the photo moves out of the camera and back in, printing red, yellow, blue, and a protective layer. All this movement is very problematic. I got a red squirrel photo, then the paper jammed going back in. It continued trying to move the photo in and out 4 times, until the photo was crinkled up, and the thin plastic that contains the ink was all tangled up. The cartridge was ruined and I got zero photos for the price of 10. I decided to give the camera a second chance and took it to a New Year's eve party. I had better luck this time and got 7 good pictures and 3 bad ones, and the cartridge didn't break this time. Everyone loved the cute little 3 inch by 3 inch photos. Pro tips: Fully charge the camera before use Use your phone flashlight Set it on a table to print and don't touch it while it's printing. If you decide to buy this camera, keep your expectations low. If you want a good picture, just use your phone. If you want nostalgia, this thing is ok, but it doesn't work very well. In school, 60% is a D- which is a passing grade I guess.

"Mini Shot" it is exactly what you get
I love this Camera, I read the lower reviews and i'm sorry but if you wanted bigger pictures- then don't get a "Mini Shot" camera. I took a picture of my pet in the night and the picture quality was good, not excellent but again, it is a mini photo camera/printer. For the camera and 3 cartridges of 30 each prints, it is great deal. I've used it several times no issues. Does it take time to print, yes but not 25-30 minutes like someone said. The details let you know it is a printer, and just like all color printers it takes a short bit of time to get the correct colors. I enjoy using it and would buy it again. (I am at work so I don't have a pic of a pic)

'Cartridge Not Recognized' error
I am disappointed with the reliability of this product. After successfully printing only 3–4 times, the camera began displaying a 'Cartridge Not Recognized' error. Despite the cartridge being correctly installed. the device fails to detect it. This inconsistency makes the product difficult to use.
