Set of 3! Tangle Jr. Original Fidget Toy

I first learned about these when my foster son was at this his therapists office. He loves them and so do I. She said it was her most popular fidget. These do. It break. Trust me. He breaks stuff. They don't break. They are however about 17 different curved pieces that you can pull apart and reconnect. It works well for aw sensoru issues kind if like how tapping a pen calms you down. My foster son calms for things like Lego's so pulling these apart and putting them together again work for him. For me I like twisting them and then untwisting them. You can actually make a few shapes. Because of the different t features it suits a variety of fidget needs. It is sturdy and well made and not likely to break. May be with a hammer This pack is awesome because you get 3 Jr Tangles for very low price. And they don't look junior to me. It is longer than the average pen when connected. Great deal for a well designed fidget! And I usually prefer dollar store ones.

This was originally meant for my 21 mo old son to play with while we are in the car, at places where I need him to sit still for longer than a few minutes and at home when he's wanting to play with something different than his other toys. I am well aware that this toy is not intended for children under 3 because of the small pieces that come apart and can be swallowed. My son is supervised at all times playing with this toy. The parts of this toy are all hard plastic and snap on/off so they all twist around (they pieces haven't snapped off while twisting yet, probably won't till the whole thing has been worn in with a lot of use). My husband now has one, so does my son (although my son isn't too interested in it) and I have one. Each of us have it for a different reason and it seems to help with those reasons we wanted it for. I'd recommend to others who have anxiety, stress or need something in their hands to fidget with. I'm considering getting one for my 92 year old grandmother who is in the nursing home, because she sits for long periods in the wheelchair and I thought this would be a great way for her to keep her hands busy to fight boredom.

When I opened the package, the Tangle Jr. had a filmy residue on it that made my fingers feel weird. Fortunately I washed the toy with soap and water and it came right off. The Tangle Jr. is quiet to play with, and not distracting to others. The pieces come apart a bit easier than I would have expected, but they go back together easy enough. It might be fun to connect 2-3 together for a bigger fidget. This is a fun toy, though I find myself playing with the Toysmith Wacky Tracks Toysmith Wacky Tracks (Assorted Colors) for longer periods (it's more addicting), though the Toysmith Wacky Tracks has a distinct click and isn't appropriate for quiet environments.

So I almost didn't get these/tried to cancel my purchase because I found out they were only 3 inches tall in the packages (which, it doesn't specific size on the site as far as I could see). I thought they would be minuscule and not fun to play with. I was wrong and so glad that my order went through instead of being cancelled. When opened up they are about 5-6 inches across, a perfect size to fiddle with. I initially planned to give one to my son and make the rest presents, but my husband opened all of them and we both found ourselves twirling them around while watching TV! The colors are lovely and bright, the product seems sturdy. Some had mentioned it as a potential choking hazard for those under 2 - for ours at least the links were extremely tight and would be very difficult for a child to separate one off, my two year old has been playing with it all week and hasn't made any move to pull it apart (I don't even think he knows it does that and would think to yank on it). Highly recommend, great stocking stuffer or gift! I taught elementary school for ten years and would have loved to have these for my more active students to play with at their desks to keep their hands busy.

We have a foster son with PTSD who tends to pick at his fingers/nails when he feels anxious or is triggered (which is often) I ordered a larger textured one of these to give it a try and it seemed to work to help him calm down and cope with some things one morning, so I immediately ordered another one plus these as well. They are definitely smaller than their full size cousin, BUT, I think its beneficial because it is easier for small hands and more discrete. The three pack was perfect, we keep one in each car and one in his backpack, then keep the textured one next to his bed and the second textured one downstairs. This way there is always one nearby. Just a few days after getting these, I got an email from his teacher that he had been triggered by something and that he realized it, took out his Tangle Jr. and asked to sit off to the side of the classroom to use it and calm down, then was able to rejoin the class a few minutes later. HUGE progress. In case anyone was wondering about colors we got since its random, the three we received are: teal/light blue/white (3rd pic) navy blue/light blue/green (5th pic) clear/pink/teal (7th pic) Some of the colors are solid and some are translucent, which he finds fascinating for some reason (they have trapped air bubbles)

Tangle toys are absolutely amazing if you have nervous habits, anxiety disorders, motor skill issues, problems with concentration, and more. Each type of Tangle has a different "feel" to it... some move quickly and loosely, some move more rigidly and slowly, and each one is as unique as the person using them! I don't go anywhere without at least one, and I have one in my desk at work, in my car, by my keys at home, and one in my bag. That way, if I forget one or lose one somewhere, I have another that I can use! The Tangle Jrs are small enough to fit in your hand, and they can be popped apart and back together. I wear my favorite metallic one as a bracelet when I'm not using it at work or when I'm on the go. It makes having the Tangle Jr. more discreet because I can pop it apart, wind it around my wrist twice, and then pop it back together. They don't come apart easily, but you kind of learn the right pressure to use to pop them together after a while. I prefer these smooth ones, as I'm personally not fond of the fuzzy or textured ones.There is also a Therapy one that is a bit squishy if that's the kind of texture that makes you feel comfortable. I usually purchase the three sets because I can get three for the price of one. They're not always the colors I want, but it's worth it if you like having one with you at all times, if you're giving gifts but want to keep one for yourself, or giving them to multiple different Tangle Jr. users! -- One warning, though: DO NOT PURCHASE THIS SET OF TANGLE JR.s FROM DISCOUNT SUPPLY SOURCE IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO GIVE THIS AS A GIFT. The set I most recently got came in a ziploc bag. It had one intact in its package, one in a very damaged package, and one that had no packaging whatsoever. The one without packaging looked used, and it also appeared to be one that someone had popped different "unwanted" colors together on. It had the right amount of connectors (18 pieces) but I'm definitely going to be giving it a good clean before I use it.

I am a 19 year old autistic person and I purchased this as a stim toy/fidget for myself. I love it! The texture is smooth and sensory pleasing. It fits easily into the palm of my hand, and I can carry it around in my pocket all day. It's quiet to use but provides endless entertainment and stimulation for my hands. I especially like that can be either a one hand toy or a two hand two. I often use it in one hand while I'm driving or reading. It helps me redirect energy from negative stims to a positive one. The toy itself is pretty durable. The pieces sometimes disconnect but they're not too hard to snap back together, although they can be stubborn sometimes. I expect that it will eventually wear out and disconnect too much, but for now, it's a great toy. I bought more for my other autistic/neuro-atypical friends.

I work in a junior high in the behavioral room, I bought these because I noticed that a lot of the kids being sent to me were not only ADHD but they had high levels of anxiety. So until the students were ready to talk I would give them these devices and they would sit and wiggle them and play with them until they had calmed down. I have now bought several of these as I have students come in the morning and get one from me and use it throughout the day and then return it to me before they go home. It really does help redirect in their anxiety and their need to constantly repeat fidgeting with items. I've also discovered that it works with ADHD adults as I have had to buy some for the school as well for teachers to use for themselves. I highly recommend them because they are lightweight, very flexible and can be easily put in a pocket or backpack and carried wherever the students go. I wrap mine around my finger as a ring and carry it wherever I go because it does help me as well.
