Learning Resources Alphabet Puzzle Cards, Kindergarten Readniness, Self Correcting Puzzles, Ages 4+

Love Love Love Learning Resources! I bought these for my special education preschoolers. I put them in a morning tub as a choice during free choice time. When I put them out, I only put out three or four letters at at time. Each letter has 3 puzzle pieces, so it's a little challenging. However, that is a good thing. I want my children to struggle slightly when working to build up perseverance and independence. If I put all 26 letters in at one time, the activity would be too overwhelming for my kiddos. Pros: Great for preschool! Durable. Well made. Inexpensive. Good pictures on the puzzle pieces. Cons: They used xylophone for the letter Xx instead of X-ray.

Love this puzzle for early learners. My 3 year olds have fun and enjoy working together to put these together. Easy to use, the pictures/letters are easy to read. They are sturdy and not too thin. I definitely would say these are a great value

I have 3 under 5 and they all love these little puzzles. The oldest does multiple at once and practices his letters and my younger girls just enjoy the little three piece puzzles and being included. Great quality and holding up to chaos of our house. I also love the large box they come in so the kiddos don’t have to worry about fitting them perfectly to put them away - helps with independent play and clean up!

Thick, colorful and easy to put together. My son really enjoyed this.

These puzzles have been used in tutoring in Kindergarten and First Grade levels. The letter puzzles have been enjoyed and helpful for the students to learn the names of the letters, the sight recognition of the pairing for each letter in its uppper case and lower case forms, and in associating a sound with each letter. The box is sturdy and the tab of velcro is strong enough to help keep the box lid closed as the box is being carried by its handle. The puzzle pieces themselves are visually appealing and sturdy while also fitting together well. The only negative to this item is the shape of the box. Each three puzzle piece set of one uppercase puzzle piece, one lowercase puzzle piece, and one picture dipicting an object with the initial sound of that letter, is supposed to be placed inside the box while connected and then have placed on top of that set, another three piece set of another letter/picture and then on top of those two, another three puzzle piece set, with eventually all twenty-six sets stacked on top of each other. When stacked in this format, the pieces all fit inside the box well. However, this system makes it very time consuming to access certain letters. This system becomes even more trying as the puzzle pieces become a little worn with use and do not stay attached to each other as strongly as when they are new. Then they tend to come apart while inside the box and when the pieces are removed, one needs to shuffle through up to seventy-eight pieces to locate one three piece set of one letter. I do think that the Learning Resources Alphabet Puzzle Cards could be appropriate for use with some children of preschool age also.

I love this educational alphabet puzzle. Purchased as a gift for my 3 year old! It’s a great way to introduce letters and sounds!

I bought these to use in small groups in my kindergarten classroom. At the beginning of the year, I set the pictures aside so students could begin matching uppercase with lowercase letters. As they become familiar with that, I add in the pictures the kids love this puzzle. It was so much fun and it is very sturdy.

Chaque carte présente une lettre en majuscule, la même en minuscule et un objet ou un animal commençant par la même lettre pour illustrer. J'ai mis quelques exemples en photos. B comme butterfly, C comme car etc... Les illustrations sont jolies. Les cartes se manipulent facilement et s'emboîtent comme un puzzle. C'est très accessible. La boîte de rangement est pratique. Elle se ferme grâce à un scratch. Une poignée en ficelle facilite le transport.

Love these letter puzzles. Good quality and happily made again and again.

Not really meant for a 4 year old. I think a six year old would have the attention span to do it.
