I read a lot of reviews of different internal USB PCI expansion cards. And so I choose this one. My machine is a dual boot machine running windows 8 and 10. Simple to install, open the can, remove the PCI slot cover plate on the back of the can and dropped in the card. I had no problem plugging in the two cables, seemed sturdy. This is a small card not much to it, I treated it gently. Fired up the machine in Windows 8 mode first, and no issues. Detected and worked right off. Restarted the machine in Windows 10 mode, and again no issues. I guess I got lucky as my card came with a driver CD, instructions, short cover plate, and a screw. Great little USB 3.0 card.

I did not do any official speed tests. Full plug-and-play functionality on a motherboard that predates USB3.0. Installed in a PCIe slot, one port supplies 3.0 to one drive bay, the other port supplies another drive bay. No sign of easily breakable plastic but I also didn't keep changing my mind. Works exactly as intended.

I have a Mobo that only has one USB 3.0 header (which supports two USB 3.0 ports) and my case has 4 front USB 3.0 ports. I was tired of half of my front ports not working so along with some other work I did on my PC I added this adapter. I originally plugged two USB 3.0 cables into this board but then thought I had a different option that wouldn't require this board at all (I was wrong) so I attempted to remove the plugs from the board. Now I am capable of not breaking things in situations like this, but it got frustrating so I just gave it the old just pull harder and the plastic housing that receives the cable plug came off the board for one of the headers. I managed to remove the other one without breaking anything else, but it required a concerted effort and some finesse. All that done I'm only using one of the headers. They both still work one just doesn't have the plastic housing around it to hold the plug, and that's actually the one I'm using so that there are just naked pins sitting there waiting to get shorted out or damaged. I painted the ugly chrome I/O shield to match my case. It screws off easily and even comes with a shorter height shield for different types of cases. All in all this is a "fine" product. Not too expensive, it works, a little cheap in some ways.

Installed into a server w/ Supermicro X8DTN+ motherboard without issue. Debian 11 had no issues recognizing the card, and it works great.

I'm running Win 7 64 bit OS and wanted to upgrade to faster USB 3. This card dropped right into my PCIe 4 slot and come with a CD for that contained the needed drivers. Yo get full read/write speed you must go into Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Device Manager>Disk Drives. Expand the Disk Drive line and find the disk drive you plugged into the USB 3 port. Right click the drive select "Properties". Click on the "Policies" tab and select "Better performance" then click "Enable write caching on the device". These steps increased the USB 3 port speed 3x. I also added a "Hima USB 3.1 Front Panel hub, Optical Drive 5.25-inch Panel Computer Expansion Board with Key-A" for front plug access and a "FebSmart 19Pin USB 3.0 Header to USB 3.1/3.2 Gen 2 Type E Key A Ports Adapter" that allowed me to connect the USB C port.

My new motherboard, ASUS Stris x670E-E, only had one header (2 plugs) for external USB 3.0, but my case needed 2 to populate the front. This worked.

BEWARE. The manufacturers website has been down every time I've tried to access it over multiple days. I'm just trying to download the drivers because the device won't acknowledge connections without them. I've tried sending messages to their support but have gotten no response. This item is just manufactured e-waste if you can't get the drivers to use it.

I attempted to use this card together with a USB 3 twenty pin to USB A adapter and in this configuration, the card has problems syncing with the front panel flash card reader that this card is attached to. When I attach the flash card reader using the same adapter to a USB 20 pin header on the motherboard, everything works perfectly. The moral of this story is that this card has to be attached directly to a device with a native USB 3 twenty pin header and not to an adapter to work properly.

As the title says. Got this to be able to use the front USB ports on the 5.25" card reader in my PC after running out of motherboard USB headers.
