I picked these over Gildan, but it's a close battle hope my story helps ya
Fantastic tailored fit. I tried these and Gildan black tees. These are a little more expensive, but I got a more tailored fit with these. They are slightly softer and more comfortable than the Gildan tees. That said, it's not a huge difference between the two. Gildan offered a lower price for their bundle of black tees, but to me the better fit was worth the small price difference. Quality, lightweight, classic timeless look, great tees on their own or under another layer

It’s really actually cotton.
Well I love that. These are made from 100% cotton. I decided to switch to only natural fabrics and I’ve noticed a big difference in how my skin feels and how my energy feels even from a big name brand like Calvin Klein just wearing a natural fabric really makes a big difference. I switched from the true classic brand to these and well I like the cut of true classic better unfortunately true classic is mostly polyester which is bad for your health and the environment so I’ll stick with these Calvin Klein‘s for now until I find something better

Good, not perfect.
These are soft undershirts. Sometimes serviceable as just regular black T-shirts with minimal branding. They don't feel that great to sweat in, but that's okay. I like the look and fit, so I'll keep getting them as long as they're available. Fabric is a tad bit thin. Five stars for value, not quality.

A Truly Soft Crew-neck Undershirt
I have ultra-sensitive skin. Call me wimp, but unfortunately the condition is real, and I've struggled all my life to find clothing I can wear without extreme discomfort—which is not related to any specific fiber, but to the smoothness and softness of the fabric. My regular undershirts, after years of comfortable service, were in tatters, so I set about the search to find a replacement I could wear. I started out with a 6-pack of Fruit of the Loom. The price was right, and the presentation copy spoke temptingly of softness, so I gave it a go. Big mistake! By my (admittedly unreasonable) standards, these shirts were unwearable out of the package. Not only were they scratchy by my values, but they were tight in the armholes. I washed all six of them three times without improvement, and gave them away to a needy friend. Then my luck improved. I spent more money, and got a 3-Pack of Calvin Klein men's Cotton Classics undershirts. These proved very nearly wearable out of the box (again—according to my extreme needs), and one washing made them softer still. I'm in T-shirt heaven. I've now bought a second 3-Pack, and I've retired my old shredded undershirts to the dust cloth collection. Take the advice of a life-long clothing softness wimp—now 92 years of age and counting. To anyone who wants true softness and a good fit in a cotton undershirt, I recommend Calvin Klein Men's Cotton Classics Undershirts without reservation.

nice shirt but the neck
I liked the fabric - definitely softer than the lower priced shirts and feels good. I also like the fit of the shirt - not too shorts and the sleeves are a good length. Unfortunately, the major issue I have with these is that the collar, and especially the front of the collar, immediately starts rolling up as soon as you wash it. After a few washes, it looks thinner than the back half of the collar and doesn't lay flat - it looks like it's all loose and saggy. it's not actually loose, but the rolled up collar gives it a "lived in" look. What's happening is the seam at the base of the neck is rolling upward, which messes with the line of the seam at the bottom of the neck. It's not only on one shirt, I bought 2 packs of these and it is on all of them. I planned to use these as undershirts under a dress shirt at work, and it just doesn't look crisp with an open collar/no tie. I suppose could try pull these early from the dryer and hand iron the neck to make the seam lie right. But it's an undershirt and who is going to wear an undershirt that's so fussy you need to iron it? For the premium price, I feel like that's a deal breaker. But if that was fixed I like the rest of the shirt.
