Stained just like the solid wood flooring!
This veneer was used on the riser of my little stairway that enters into my music room. Itโs really sort of like a stage. I was refinishing my wood floors, and the riser could not be re-used, so this veneer seemed appropriate. We stuck it onto the plywood underneath, and stained and finished it with Minwax Classic Gray, like we used on the rest of my red oak flooring, and it is beautiful! It worked perfectly. OK, so it canโt be sanded and refinished in the future, but Iโll just purchase more veneer if I need it :).

great product
Very easy to work with and is a quality product. Make sure when you apply it is in the position you want it as it adhesion is fantastic

Great product
Excellent product. Came just as advertised. Others who say it didnโt adhere donโt know how to use the product. This stuff sticks perfectly. The wood veneer is beautiful.

Great veneer but backing is always off a bit
I really like this veneer. Iโm an amateur wood worker and I use this for speakers that I build. The veneer always looks nice and it is really sticky so it stays well. The only problem is that the backing on the sticky part is always off and it wastes about a 1/4โ of the veneer and makes it hard to have a straight edge since that little part will not stick to anything because the backing is gone.

Difficult to work with, not great adhesive
I bought this for refinishing two bathroom vanities in my houses. The cabinet and doors and solid wood so I was able to sand those and stain them but the side is a printed wood grain on plastic like sheeting. I got this veneer to cover the sides. The product looks good but is very hard to work with and the edges curl up no matter how hard I push to try to get the adhesive to stick. I am going to to have to get some super small trim pieces to hold down the edges, not sure how that is going to work but I canโt think of anything else.

Instant cabinet refresh!
I wanted to upgrade my kitchen, and was stopped by the cost of new cabinets. So I decided that I would try my hand at painting. And then discovered that the front of my cabinets were pretty beat up, lots of chips in the cabinet door veneer, which of course needed to be addressed before painting. At first I tried wood putty, but it just didnโt look right, lots of bumps and looked super janky. I did some research and found this product. I ordered it and it shipped within a couple of days. I basically measured the section of cabinet door I wanted to cover. I washed the door with spic and span, dried it, and then using very sharp scissors, measured and cut out the section I wanted to use. The veneer cut pretty much like cardboard. I carefully peeled off the backing, aligned the top two corners and gently pressed it to the front of my cabinet door. It is basically like a giant Post-it note. But the adhesion is industrial-strength! I replaced a total of three cabinet door faces, and one drawer. I then primer it and painted the doors. They look absolutely amazing! In fact it is very difficult to tell which of the veneers are the ones I replaced. I highly recommend this. For the cost of this product, plus a gallon of primer & a gallon of paint, I have a brand-new kitchen (total cost for my project was under $200) and it looks like I spent thousands.

Very Happy
My husband is a cabinet maker, we wanted to refinish our original solid oak doors that been on our house for 100 yrs. The old veneer was all cracked and split. So my husband worked with veneer many many times. Her worked on our door for 8 hrs prepping and sanding. So this is what it turned out to look like, he is not happy, looks like another day trying to fix the bubbles, some edges are not sticking even with wood glue.. today he with try an iron on it. We have another oak door just like this one to do.. I hope it goes better. $400.00 in veneer. It all ironed out, we did the second dood and they look great... very happy.. takes a little extra work..*****
