Do these pencils smear?

When using graphite pencil, there is always the potential for smudging, especially when working on smooth paper in thicker layers. We recommend placing a scrap sheet of paper or tracing paper over areas that you have already worked to prevent this from occurring/causing a problem as you move along.

Are they easily erased, I want them for Mandala drawing ?

If you use the harder pencils in the set and don't press hard on your paper, your lines will erase nice and clean (if you have a nice eraser meant for graphite pencils). Don't use the softer pencils in the set as they go on darker and would be harder to erase. I personally find I prefer using just regular school pencils or mechanical pencils for outlines I plan to erase. Graphite pencils are best used for shading and graphite has a tendency to smear easier than just normal pencils due to the oil in the graphite.

I use these pencils to annotate family photographs because they do not do anything to damage the photos. They are archival style pencils. They are also good for sketching and drawing

Comes with a nice variety of soft to hard. Comfortable with non-roll-away edges on the pencils. Superb for lines or smooth shading. Especially love the soft 6B for dramatic bold sketches. Great quality and $$$ value. BEST of all - nice sturdy tin to keep them in for traveling or taking them along for outdoor sketching or indoor art play. Definitely worth it.
