Works perfect for my 2015 F350
I first bought an aftermarket set that bent immediately as I tried to open the Snap Ring. I had to reassemble everything until I got these. I was nervous to do the work all over but these opened the ring very easily and I was on my way to repair the truck. You need these.

Lisle locking snap ring pliers for Ford axles or automatic transmissions
I have been needing locking type snap ring pliers and these Lisle model 38700 are amazing!! The quality is outstanding they are made of thick hardened steel and the locking mechanism works so easy when you have the snap ring in place. I used these on a Ford 5R55S transmission that has a snapring on the output shaft deep inside the case with very little room to use non-locking pliers. With these from Lisle you lock the snapring open and you can have a hand free for a light or a tool to help you guide the snapring in the groove of the shaft before releasing the pliers.

Not the quality that Lisle is known for, but the support was top notch to rectify.
PSA-----Can get the job done. With the set I recieved, one pin assemble ends up shorter than the other when mounted on the pliers which cocks the circlip at an angle making installation of the new clip a little more difficult. Try to adjust with loosening Allen screws, but there is no adjustment. The pin assemblies are the same but flipped when installed.

Buy it if you have a Super Duty
These are very well built and thought out. They are curved to fit around the axle shaft and locking feature saves your hand strength for another task. Great investment for any F-250 and up owner. I tried a set of Icon snap ring pliers before these and it was a pain to get them on the ring. If you’re buying hubs and these pop up, buy them! 2011 F-250 4x4 diesel

They did the job but still required some fiddling. Definitely built strong enough but still pretty bulky. I'm sure they saved some curse words from being used. Will be put away to be used again.
