Actually Works. Simple and repeatable results.
What a product! I have purchased automatic diamond sharpeners and expensive manual sharpeners that utilize bars/v shape holding. These claim to be dummy proof. I have not had great results on tough steel. This simple thing however - i used for maybe 2 minutes and have a paper cutting edge on a knife I have never been able to sharpen. Very pleased. Will buy again. Note this is good for tough steel. Suggest a polishing stone for minor cleanup.

A nice tool that makes your own tools nicer.
I found a rusty sickle in my shed recently and wanted to try to restore it. It had a layer of very thick rust and a chipped and damaged blade. It's still not beautiful looking, but it's now been sanded and sharpened to a functional extent. Pictures are showing the extent of ruston the areas the puck *can't* hit, the overal improvement after the first day, and the current conditon on day three. The biggest compaint I have is not selling a marked down multipack with all avalible grits, because tbh if you can bulk buy rhw whole set with a small discount by the time this one wears out, I'd be willing to buy all three to replace the one. Anyway, this thing is great. It sharpens whatever pretty much. So far I sharpened a bunch of knives, tweezers. Pins. Blade on my hair clippers, things I had to fully replace in the past. The puck fits comfortably in my tiny girl hands well enough i haven't accidentally sliced myself up.

Good little Puck
Puck style sharpener arrived quickly and was well packaged. The course side (red) and fine side (white) were not even/balanced, about 2/3 of it was red/course. The red/course side had a small chip along the outer edge of the face that makes it a bit fiddly to use (to avoid the chip). The size and shape is spot on, fitting the hand well and the edge bevels are even and consistent. I marked the edges with the grit levels as the factory stamp wears off quickly but the 180/400 difference is east to tell by touch. I LOVE the nylon snap pouch it comes with that should protect it from banging around and getting more chipped up when stored. Easy to use and good value for the money, lost a star due to the chip in the working face.

Great in the field
These are great for axes, swords, mower blades, all sorts of sharpening tasks. Only trick is getting the blade angle just eight but that's really not that big a challenge. Especially useful "in the field" where a powered system would require a generator, cords, and all manner of extra stuff.

Good stone and love the case
There are several round pocket stones available around the same price point and I figured the biggest difference is grit and storage options. Certainly the strength of the stone matters, and this one seems quite solid, will update later if it seems to chip under normal use, but doesn't seem likely. This stone offered slightly more aggressive grit on the course side and slightly finer on the medium side, but at 150/320 they still don't seem far enough apart for it to be a problem between the two. I assumed the leather case would be something pretty cheap, maybe even throwaway -- but I was quite happily surprised to find the leather pouch was a very soft, supple, suede leather pouch that seems like it will look very nice and will protect the stone well against a fair amount of abuse. The stone also came wrapped in a felt cloth that protects the stone from rubbing against the leather, which I think is a really nice touch. I was also a bit worried about using the round stone in general, but I found it pretty intuitive to get the hang of and had things sharpened in no time.

Useful Puck for Sharpening Axes
I ordered this puck after wearing the edge down on a Gransfors Bruks axe and found it to be very effective in reestablishing an edge in short order. The medium grit side was all that was required to clean the blade up after removing a considerable amount of brush that had grown up in a chain link fence. The puck is ergonomic and I much prefer it to a file for touching up an axe blade. I also expect that the belt pouch will be convenient for full wood-cutting days.

Good stone
Seems like a solid sharpening stone especially for the price. I used it once to sharpen my fiskar chopping hatchet, it did a good job. Should be able to use it for many more sharpens
