Product description ------------------- Sekirei Comple(Br+Dv) .com ---- Sekirei (2008) combines two popular anime genres: the harem comedy and the fan service fantasy-adventure. Mild-mannered, goodhearted Minato Sahashi is smart enough to have been at the top of his high school class, but so nervous he's failed the university entrance exam--twice. One day, a pretty girl falls out of the sky onto his head, cleavage first. Musabi explains she's a "Sekirei," a mysterious being endowed with phenomenal powers (not least of which is keeping a pneumatic figure inside a scanty costume). To realize their full powers, Sekirei must form a special bond with a human "Ashikabi." More Sekirei appear, and soon six of them are bonded to Minato. They all live together in the Maison Izumo boarding house, and squabble endlessly over who's his favorite. The Sekirei have to fight each other in a deadly game orchestrated by the evil president of the all-powerful MBI Corporation, but Minato doesn't want anyone to get hurt and is fiercely protective of his friends. Season one ends on an inconclusive cliffhanger, and the trifling plot stumbles along in Pure Engagement (2010). From time to time, the filmmakers try to introduce a poignant emotional point or a life-threatening battle, but the endless cleavage s undercut any serious storytelling. Both seasons of Sekirei play like Love, Hina restaged by Victoria's Secret. The endless jiggle s and bodice-ripping fights exist only to excite hormonal adolescent boys. Included among the extras are the OVAs Kusano's First Shopping Trip and Two Gossip Topics, which feature even more nudity and boob jokes.
