MaxxHaul 70235 Black Cargo Gate

I was planning on ordering a lift gate extender however they are 300+ w install kits. Did some research found this gate and took a shot on it. This gate is awesome. Heavy duty steel. I was surprised by the weight and very sturdy once its installed. This is probably the highest quality made in China product I have ever purchased lol. Put it together in 5 minutes and 5 minutes to install. I wanted it so I could throw groceries in the back of my F150 but it can be used as a bracket to hold heavy stuff in place. Fits under my hard bed cover no problem with height and width adjustments so a win win. Go get this thing before they run out.

Nice sturdy product. Only one negative. The guides to increase the height need to be lubricated to avoid jamming, since the middle one is on a screw to lower or raise the gate's height and the guides on the sides of the gate are not. So, if one side is higher or lower than the middle or opposite side, the gate will jam. Hope that makes sense.

Not sure why the negative comments posted. I have a 16 Ram 1500 and the gate being fully adjustable fits just fine. What impressed me most is that unlike other gates I researched, this one is built to last. Most of the others were plastic based or had too much plastic to take loads pounding on them. Groceries and sports gear they are fine but not heavier loads. The gate is all steel and fully adjustable in height and width to attached to most all large and I presume mid size trucks. The side adjustments are quick if you need to move the gate. Construction is "old world" meaning heavy steel components that will survive. The kind of design most professional welders would build if they were building a truck bed gate for their own use. Honestly, you don't see heavy duty build like this anymore in retail products. I like my purchase and am confidence it will not need replacing due to breakage nor moving as the three spoke wheel at each end holds like a bulldog. Sooner or later to keep price in line, plastic will find its way as all the others. For now am very impressed with this gate.

It did not fit my truck. It needed about 3/4" more because I have a bed liner.

!!!!! Item arrived in Oct it was a Christmas gift for my father in law. He opened it on Christmas to find it was missing parts and one side where you adjust it's width is bent so bad you can not adjust it. Not happy and the return policy ran out on Dec. 1st

Works perfect on my 2003 Ford F-150. I was very skeptic when I saw so many negative reviews but wanted to give it a try anyway - so glad I did. It was very easy to assemble, had no missing parts as some other reviews mentioned. I had to adjust the height to fit my truck, but once I set it up it was a great fit. I even kicked it couple times to see how tight it was, and it stayed in position just fine. I'm happy happy with this purchase.

the gate itself is very sturdy, my complaint is that the adjustments are not quick adjust, have to turn them out. Also the ones I received, one of them the adjustment bolt on one side was bent so it made it difficult to use once it got to the side of the truck.
