The were all alive and doing great.
They were shipped through the US mail, so it took about a week to get them. The temperatures in our area are really hot, but when they came, apparently, the mail service had protected them from the extreme heat and the box they came in wasn't hot. The larvae were all alive and ready to live in my new bio-pod and grow into chicken food. The seller seems very responsible and the US mail was also very careful. The box they were shipped in also said on the box that the contents were live insects and to protect them from extreme heat and cold. Will order again if the need arises.

Fly larvae as they should be!
Fly larvae arrived earlier then expected, alive and perfect for my chickens! I've ordered 2 times now and no complaints here. I live in PA, weather is good right now. I'm sure if you live in a hot climate area, shipments night suffer, so order accordingly as they will die if external temperatures are Hot or too cold.

Dead on arrival
We received super tiny larvae and they don’t appear to be moving at all. We left them on the kitchen counter for several days and kept watching for growth or movement, but no luck. We are disappointed because last time we ordered them, they were very large and wiggly.

Good!
Bought these for my brother, he asked for them as his birthday gift since he just bought himself some baby chicks. They came early which was perfect as he just got the chicks the night before. Some were dead. I have only seen pictures but they look well and he's happy so I'm happy!

Excellent product
They were all alive, I had a beetle, many were in transit to pupate (darker color) feeding those first to lizard, great scent to them, my bearded dragon knew what it was as soon as I opened the lid, I had a little more than 1000 (yes I counted them all) great size and quality for your money.....will definitely order again!

Ready to Grow
I previously left a 5- star review. I have changed it. I received my package, but did not take them to their new home. I put a little food in the container, and opened the lid a crack for air. In the morning, I had a mass escape on my counter. I swept all the babies up and took them out. It wasn’t long until I had soldier flies hatching in my house. I don’t know where they hid. Then, I had a mass of houseflies. Most of the larva were not soldier flies. This has not happened before. I had them screened…only soldier flies. I’ve been vacuuming dozens of flies off my windows. It’s disgusting.
