3 Outlet Distribution Post

The Stansport 3 Outlet Distribution Post has been a game changer for my camping setup. I use it in my wall tent with a 30 lb propane tank, and it easily powers my lantern, stove, and sometimes even a propane hot water heater. I was never quite sure of the proper disposal method for small propane canisters and got tired of always having to keep several cans on hand for cooking, lighting and heat while camping. If you have room in your vehicle for the large tank and don't have to hike too far to your camping spot, this is the way to go. I tried another brand that didn't have the angle this one does and when I attached an 8' hose to connect to a portable grill it pull the tank over. I returned it to Amazon without a problem and ordered this one instead because it has the angle to help keep the weight over the propane tank, The connector at the bottom of the post fits on the large propane tank, while the connectors on the post mate perfectly with appliances requiring the smaller propane tanks. No tools or adapters needed. With this distribution post I connected two Coleman 8' hoses, one for a Coleman Roadtrip portable grill and one for a single burner stove. I also attached a propane lamp on the top. All worked perfectly and I never felt like it was off balance or prone to tipping over. It also comes in two pieces with a storage bag so it breaks down and fits in my grill case, and I can use just the lower half if I don't need to attach a lamp or third appliance.

Used the a few times. Works like it should. Just not as stable as I would like it to be, once you hook up all the lines. I use this for a Colman lantern and a Colman two burner stove and a Blackstone. I bought additional adapters to hook the hoses from the stove and Blackstone to the post.

I love this device. It changed car camping for me! I purchased one of the best camp stoves here on Amazon (StanSport) but I quickly learned that the little bottle propane tanks were useless because the stove would burn fuel so quickly that it was freezing the bottles and causing them to lose their ooomph. A friend gave me a 3 gallon propane bottle pictured with this product and that was a game changer! Yeah, it's a bigger item to tote around but now my stove can blast both burners for hours at a time without hesitation. So I upped the game by getting this distribution post. Not only can I connect my stove, but I can share my connection to another stove. I also connect the Coleman InstaStart 967 to the top of this post for instant light at the camp kitchen. This product is a must have to help convert the bottle to your camp stove. It also gives you more options for lighting and more. This was a great addition to the camping gear on my list. The quality of this unit is very high. I can tell it will last for years. They also include attached caps to protect the threads when not in use. That is a nice touch and I really appreciate that. I never lose the caps because they are attached to the post. StanSport makes good stuff!

Worked perfectly Easy to set up

So many things wrong, where to start. 1. DANGER!!! This thing leaks at the attachment point to the 20lb propane tank. Very dangerous. If you compare this products brass fitting (black plastic one on the right in picture) to a different good hose I have (green plastic one on the left in picture) you can see how poorly the machining is and how off center it is, allowing propane to leak out of the tank. 2. The stabilizing screws do not work at all. They do not stabalize at all even when screwed all the way in. 3. The pictures in the description above for the item shown by the seller is not only 2 different propane distribution trees, none of the pictures are even remotely the same as the item I received. I have owned 3 different propane distribution trees and this is by far the worst one and I am sending this back immediately as it could very well kill someone. UPDATE: revieved the replacement and it is missing one of the support screws. Just don't buy this brand whatever you do.

Overall, and we'll built product. I would recommend the purchase of this. My one small issue is that it was/is missing a small part. Package was to include 1 tree, and 2 wing screws; however, the package arrived with 1 tree (the important part) and only 1 wing screw. I will need to go to the local hardware store and purchase a wing screw, or fabricate one if I can't find one.

Already have one witch works well

Purchased for our Scouting group equipment to have one that is a two-piece that is not the long one-piece we usually use to store it and transport it easier. It's not the battle tank metal the old one is but this one is very sturdy. The plastic tank coupling is thick and should last, and goes on to the tank easily. All threads have a plastic cover with a tether so they don't get lost, so they should continue to protect the threads in transport. Note that these should never be relied on to be a pressure seal. Pressure tested well, both as one-piece without the extension as as a two-piece tree. Only issue - and this is an issue with most of these distribution trees - is there are no nylon carry bags included or as an option to buy.
