I typically do not write reviews but for this, I had to! I AM NOT A PAID REVIEWER NOR DO I WORK WITH BUTTAH SKIN PRODUCT LINE. I'm an average consumer providing my personal thoughts, hopefully it is helpful. First, let me just start by saying I have finally found a line of products that work for my skin! I'm an African American man and these products have worked wonders in my first month. For years, I have been searching for the right products with no real success. I have been using Mac products (which are amazing) but they have been just shy of hitting the mark. My facial skin would frequently have black heads, become dry with discoloration, and never seem to get the proper balance of hydration. I started using this product trio about a month ago and my skin has felt amazing. It has kept my face balanced, hydrated, and clear. I tested my skin a few times in not using the product for a day. It still felt hydrated and amazing. I get facials regularly and my tech is giving glowing reviews of how well my skin has improved. I highly recommend this product line but, here are few things where I think people go wrong, hence some of the negative reviews: > Know your skin type - Far too often, people do not have the knowledge of knowing their skin type. Based on the reviews I have read, they buy this product and assume their skin type will work with some of the products offered. Have a tech evaluate your skin so that you are sure of your skin type and base your selection from the evaluation. > Go to the site and take the quiz - Before ordering, it may be a good idea to hit the Buttha Skin website and take a short quiz. I used it to help with my selection of products to use > Understand what each product does - If you have oily skin, the shea butter moisturizer may not be for you. It goes back to knowing your skin type. I see negative reviews from folks that say they have oily skin, but pick a product designed for dry skin. They offer several types of moisturizers based on your skin type. > It doesn't take a lot of product for application - Use small amounts, it goes a long way and covers your face nicely. My mistake in the past has been using an amount more than the size of a dime to apply products. If can cause over use, produce oily skin, and more blackheads than you can tolerate. Thats all I have for now, thought I would share for those interested, particularly African American men who have been curious about this product. I'm about to add the toner to my product line up, will post an update in about a month.

I got this due to the reviews I have seen online for melanin skin and I was not disappointed!!! I love it! Now there are a lot of reviews that state you do not get enough product for the price, but I have to say I don't agree. You only need a small amount to have the magic happen. I just use a small amount of the facial cleanser. It will foam, but not much. I was expecting this since it is a gentle cleanser. You only need a small amount, less than the size of a dime if you wet the face first. I use micellular water first and then use the cleanser with a small amount of water and it foams up a bit more than just with water. The serum is perfect and also requires only a small amount. It does leave the skin with a slightly sticky residue if you use too much. I apply one drop with the dropper directly on the skin on the forehead and both cheeks. I rub it in and viola!! Follow with the moisturizer!! The moisturizer is lightweight and is not greasy. It absorbs easily. None of the products have a scent really, they leave the skin clean and glowing! I have gotten compliments on my complexion and the glow my skin has since starting this product. I only use the serum at night, so it will last a long time. For the cost of the whole system to start it is worth it. I am sure that I will run out of cleanser before anything else if that helps. Will only buy this moving forward, since I can see the differences for myself and others who have commented as well. That is the best way to know if something is working, right??? If you have read this far, just buy it. You won't be disappointed.

As someone with very sensitive, oily, and acne prone skin, along with an allergy to any and all fragrances, I am very cautious as to what I put on my face. Last year, I tried the Vitamin C Serum and I fell in immediate love with it. It is light, yet, very moisturizing, low in fragrance, and gives the most beautiful glow. Many look for vitamin c serums to make hyperpigmentation disappear. No, mine has not completely disappeared, but has definitely lightened, and I do not get as much hyperpigmentation from new acne, etc... This product here...just as soon as I begin running low, I place another order. As for the Facial Shea Butter, I was hesitant because I do have oily skin and it is very acne prone. Yet, I went ahead and tried it. I was pleasantly surprised, and immediately implemented into my skincare regimen. Having oily skin, I do use a pea size amount, as that is sufficient. It is very moisturizing, not too heavy, healing, and also leaves an amazing glow. I do not wear make up much, but when I do, it does wear well under makeup. If I do feel that my face is a little too shiny, etc.. I just pat with a clothe, and it's just right. As for the face wash, I cannot use it due to my allergies, but I have purchased the entire kit for my teenage son who is experiencing some acne. It is very easy for him to use, and you only need about a pea size. He also uses the Vitamin C Serum and Facial Shea butter. I have definitely seen improvement in his face, and he is pleased as well. I highly recommend these products to anyone that truly wants quality products and wants to see results.

They are great products, but I’m allergic to oranges and the vitamin C serum. It just felt like my face was on fire. But I know their products are good. I did regift my items to my husband and he personally likes the product.
