My honest review of the F5 Pro monitor
Here with my honest review of the Feelworld F5 Pro monitor. I've shot indoors and outdoors with this monitor here's my review. First off the price is amazing, you get great quality at such an affordable price. You would think the build quality would suffer being priced at $140, but i'm here to say it does not. The plastic build surprisingly feels tough and sturdy while in hand. Adding the tilt arm makes it even more secure. Speaking of the tilt arm, it is included with the monitor. Most monitors around this price point only comes with the monitor so not having to buy an extra accessory is a huge benefit that anyone can appreciate. The F5 Pro has Full HDMI In/Out for easy access to view and feed the video signal. And the display 1080p looks great, and can receive/outout 4k footage with no problem. This monitor is packed with so many features for real filmmaking. With the easy touch screen all the features are literally at your fingertips. The F5 Pro is jam packed with features : focus Peaking, nine grid, Histogram, anamorphic mode, and zoom in just to name a few. In addition to the touch screen this monitor still has tack-tile buttons on the top. To me the one thing that sets this apart is the included NP-f baseplate, the ability to install a wireless kit can easily be done. Just makes you think that Feelworld is really a forward thinking company. The screen could be brighter being only a 500nit monitor, but the Pros outweigh the cons with this monitor. Overall this is a great monitor, shooters new and old will enjoy the features it has. And at this price point, it's truly another added bonus. Hope this review was helpful in your purchasing decision.

A great value for sure.
I needed a 5" monitor quickly for a night time shoot, and stumbled upon this one via some YouTube reviews. This monitor is packed with features, and shows how far affordable monitor tech has come. The touch screen is responsive, the display color is adjustable (a feature not found on many far more expensive monitors), it offers LUT (look up table) support, false color, has two customizable buttons, and the interface is logical and easy to use. Having an HDMI output port is very handy, and not expected on a monitor at this price. The pass through NP-F style power attachment on the back is a real surprise, and will work as shown with my Hollyland wireless transmitter. The sun hood is simple, but easy to attach and will help when dealing with the low monitor brightness and reflection. The few drawbacks are minor considering the low price of this product: Low monitor brightness and no SDI support. I do wish the focus peaking had a threshold control, as it is overly aggressive. Build is light weight plastic, so it may not be super durable. The battery seems to remain "active" even if the power button is turned off. I don't know if this will drain the battery or not....time will tell. The cold-shoe arm mount is OK, not great, but certainly better than nothing at all. Again, for the low price of this monitor, the few negatives are greatly outweighed by all the positives!

Ok but note the features
So this monitor is not bad- but do note: there's no battery that comes with this; this model doesn't have touch screen focus combined in its features; it doesn't give you the option to actually amplify exactly what your camera's LCD screen looks like (and let me explain this further). So for example, if your camera's LCD screen has a center marker and a level (like ground-level focus lever) appearing in real-time, it's not going to show up on this external monitor. At least that was my experience with using this combined with a Sony ZV-E10. There are some built in features on the monitor itself (like a 3rd lines grid, histogram, etc.) but it doesn't display what's exactly on your camera's LCD screen, so like if you have your audio level metered real-time on the screen, or have face-eye subject focus auto detect, those little squares won't be amplified on the monitor, which was my experience. I got this in hopes that this would remedy the challenges of reading the small screen on the cam itself -- it does help view what you're recording with more ease better, but because it doesn't show all of the features you may have built-in on-camera for your cam's LCD screen, this is where this monitor may fall short in usage for some as this was the case for me. Apparently this seller has two different external monitors being sold with different features and I did not order the other which apparently may also have focus-touch features as well.

Good
A monitor doesnโt make you a great shooter. I love this monitor because it does everything I need it to do. If you do want a good monitor I recommend small HD or Hollyland.

Great value for $ & touch screen is awesome!
For the money, I don't think you can get a better on camera monitor w/touchscreen. The touch screen access to menu and zoom features is such a time saver. False color, focus peaking, histogram etc are great features and available with couple taps right on screen. I do wish it had Waveform monitor, but most monitors in the price or well above normally don't have them either. The sun shade is easy to mount and stays on securely via Velcro, and folds away nicely (you will need it to film in bright sun, this isn't the brightest monitor rated at 500 Nits) but the sun screen works very well. The offset mounting arm works great and has locking nut to keep monitor in place, and is pretty low-profile, and also has an additional hot shot mount on the side if you want to mount a low-profile mic. Having the ability to add a wireless transmitter like the Mars400s (Or other Sony NPF battery accessory) to the back and power both is awesome. It keeps the unit nice and low profile, and I can power the Mars 400S with the Sony battery that's powering the monitor at the same time. This really helps keep the rig compact, and with a NPF970 and the Mars 400s, the weight distribution evens itself out nicely. Much better than having the Transmitter handing off the side, or on another hot shoe mount. All in all, amazing bang for the buck!

Great Quality, Even Better Price
My initial thought when first using the monitor was WOW! We have another Feelworld monitor that is much more expensive that weโve been using and this new one is honestly super comparable. You canโt add LUTs to this monitor but besides that itโs a great monitor for this price point. I love the programmable F1 and F2 buttons that make shooting easier. I personally have them on safety frames and false color. Even though this monitor doesnโt have as high of nits as some other monitors, it was still very easy to see the screen outside in direct sunlight with the shade attached. The touchscreen is super convenient and you can make adjustments quickly. We just ordered the Hollyland Mars 300 Pro and canโt wait to hook it up to the dummy battery on the back of the monitor. Itโs gonna make this one man production happen a lot smoother!

Exceeded my expectations!
This monitor is great for creators who are on a budget! I mainly use Sony cameras (a7 III, a6500) and so far it's been great. The video assist features such as focus peaking and false colors are must haves to streamline production. The touchscreen is nice and easy to use, and the menu is very easy to navigate. I LOVE the shortcut menu you can access by swiping up from the bottom of the screen, you can customize the settings to anything you'd like. Its also nice to see more products adopt the USB C standard, so you have less cables to carry around. Screen brightness may be an issue in extremely bright environments, I would recommend to use the included sun hood outdoors. Overall, this is my first monitor from Feelworld and it has exceeded my expectations. It has all the video assist features you need, all while also having an unbeatable price of $139.
