Perfect pan for anything in a gravy or sauce.
Ive bought this Braiser Pan in 3 sizes. Each is excellnt for cooking curry's, gravys, sauced vegetable dishes etc. The tri ply prevents scorching and the lower depth allows everything to cook very evenly. I have a 3 qt, 6 qt, and a 9qt. that covers the sizes I need. They clean up very easily. Mine are not the nonstick coated version but nothing seems to stick in them anyway. Beautiful and shiney.

Looking sharp!
I needed/wanted bigger pan and after doing my research I decided to give Tramontina a try. I am very familiar with Tramontina brand, been using their frying pans I've got at Costco for few years now with no complaints. My other stainless steel cookware is All Clad and honestly I didn't notice any difference in performance between my Tramontina pans from Costco (made in China by the way) and my All Clad pans (D3 and D5 to be exact). So I ordered Tramontina Signature Tri-Ply Clad Stainless Steel 6-Quart Braiser Pan with Lid - great size, exactly what I was looking for! The weight is not heavy at all! It looks sharp and beautiful. In fact, I had it sitting on my cooktop and got complements from my family noticing this pan (they never complemented any of my cookware before!). I used it mostly as frying pan and liked larger cooking surface. It heats evenly (I have gas), and performs well. I heated it before use as you supposed to with SS and had no issues with sticking food. I am so happy I ordered this pan and didn't spend 4 times more on All clad! Highly recommend!

One of my favorite kitchen pans
Very versatile pan AND LARGE. Lightweight and well crafted. Braising, stews, one-pot recipes, shallow pan frying. Cleans up well with normal stainless steel pan method. Wait for a sale though as I got mine for $60.

Buy it
I have been an all. Clad, made-in, etc buyer. This is my 4th Tramontina pan and it is simply a very high quality pan. It is manufactured in Brazil. To be assured that it is you have to buy the O’Dell with the Stainless cover. If the cover is glass it is Mae in china. Also made sure it says tri ply. That is import, must say full clad tri ply. You will be very impressed with the results. Just use medium heat for two minutes then add some oil, wait until it shimmers, not smoke and then cook. I just starting using this method, which i should have been using all along, and it is amazing. If you don;t feel right or uncomfortable, just buy one pan but make sure it is made in Brazil. If it has a cover it sates it is stainless steel. If it is glass it is Chinese.

Nice and will probably last a long time.
Np doubt this is a durable pan, but beware it is not non-stick, although it is easy to clean.

High quality
Beautiful looking pan. Great size. I hope this one will last a lot longer than my pans with nonstick coating. I looked into stainless steel pans once I noticed my nonstick coating was starting to flake off and get into food.

Absolutely Love It!!
I needed something better than a frying pan. I have a small space to cook in and the long handles of normal frying pans get in the way. Also, my last two frying pans appeared to be flat on the bottom, but once heated they would spin and slide on the stovetop, yes mine is glass. So, what I needed was a true flat, heavyweight bottom frying pan that will stand the test of time. It took me months of searching to find this. I found it only when I made an earlier purchase for a nice stock pot that would double as a water bath canner. My Tramontina stock pot was working so well that I looked at their full line and found this Braiser. Can't say enough great things about it. Right now, it is full of Princess Meat Sauce for my lasagna.

6qt braiser tramontina
This cooks really well. Can comfortably cook 5 cups of rice in it. I have had it for over 3 months now and it’s been really amazing. It’s a little heavy when filled but I don’t think it’s an issue since I leave the pot on the stove after cooking. It doesn’t stick if you heat it up, cool it a little and then add your oil and cook - just the stainless steel water bead test. It’s really easy to clean. If it burns, soak it with dish soap and water for some hours and wash it off. To keep it shiny, wash with bar keepers friend, rinse with water and vinegar. It’s a beauty. Definitely would recommend.

Brilliant.
Love this Braiser. Well worth the money. Heat the pan before adding oil and it’s as non-stick as a pan with a ‘non-stick’ coating and no toxins.

The best!
Finally, we have this fantastic rondeaux. I've made several dishes in this and it cleans up beautifully. I've even made beef cutlets and nothing sticks to the pan. Considering the price of others, this is the best purchase.

The item is exquisite, just the way I like it. It’s big enough for a family of 4. The quality of the stainless steel is top notch
