South Park is one of my most favorite shows! It was one that pushed everyone’s buttons and touched on several issues throughout the years and fast became in pace with the Simpsons. Trey Parker and Matt Stone created such an incredible series that I own every season that’s out so far. This adult themed animation series is worth every penny to snag complete seasons from Amazon even if you buy for streaming purposes. My reviews for every season I have purchased from Amazon will be the same. I’m including images from each seasons disc as the differences. Amazon does have excellent prices on the seasons compared to other retailers

Simpson's and other show's have nothing on South Park! They hit every current situation spot on, with the best comedy ever! The character's rule! You must complete the whole series! You will be rolling with tears laughing, if you have humor and understand current events!

It's easy to write satire. It's difficult to write funny satire. Disc 1 with 5 episodes was not particularly funny. There was satire (Canada on strike spoofing the Writer's strike), social commentary (the role of the paparazzi in chasing stories of train wreck celebs, like Britney), but nothing that was laugh inducing. Perhaps the issues were just sad and sometimes stupidity just makes one angry. It's not til disk two that I begin to find myself smiling and occasionally chuckling over scenes/dialogs in "Super Phun Thyme" and "The Breast Cancer Show Ever". Then disc 3 with Pandemic I & II about Peruvian pan flute bands and their links to giant destructive Guinea Pigs, the aftermath of the Presidential election amd why Obama and McCain really wants to get into the White House manages to come together for some laugh out loud comedy. The last two episodes skewers the fads of "High School Musical 3", and "Twilight" while at the same time making some pointed observation about society, fitting in, finding an identity, and holding on to one's identity. Cartman and Butters are an incredibly powerful comedy team with the eternally cynical, selfish, and self-centred Cartman matched with the insecure, anxious-to-please, perpetually innocent and naive Butters, and the "Super Phun Thyme" episode was particularly funny because of these two characters and the way Butters stood by his principles. Of course anytime Cartman gets his just desserts is an episode worth watching ("The Breast Cancer Shpw Ever"). Pandemic I/II was funny for it's self-commentary as provided by Craig. Season 10 is still my all-time favourite, but season 12 is an improvement over season 11 which may have suffered for following an excellent season in 10.

Daughter loved it. None of the discs skipped.

South Park continues to be the funniest, most entertaining TV show there is. It's hard to believe Stone and Parker can keep coming up with the stuff in each show 12 seasons later but it is still hilarious. Britney Spears episode: genius. They even make fun of every situation the boys have been in from the general population's point of view in the pan flute band/giant guinea pig episode when Clyde tells them that no one likes them because they purposely get themselves in these situations. Freaking hilarious. Good stuff!

去年放送されていたサウスパークの第１２シーズンが早くもＤＶＤで登場しました。 このシーズンの見所といえば、第９シーズンで性転換を受けて女性となったギャリソン先生が 再び男性に戻るために奮闘するところです(Eek, a Penis)。彼が無事に男性に戻れるかどうかは、 ぜひ自分の目で確かめてください。他にもネコにおしっこをかけられたケニーとジェラルドが 妄想に陥って混乱したり(Major Boobage)、ウェンディがカートマンと決闘したり(Breast Cancer Show Ever)と見所満載です。これらだけにも留まらず、さらにブリトニー・スピアーズや オバマ大統領といった有名人も登場します。

South Park Season 12 is brilliantly topical and highly entertaining. Even though they are even more adult in their themes, this "cartoon" can be enjoyed by most age groups. (Kids under 18 MUST have their parents watch it with them.) From Cartman contracting AIDS in the first episode (and beating it) through to Butters being convinced that he's a vampire in the 14th episode, Trey Parker and Matt Stone have created another season of thought-provoking, and discussion-triggering shows with no end in site. (After all, our crazy world provides endless new material for them to draw upon. LOL) They take real life ridiculousness and play it from the point of view of 9-year-olds and their insane families (in some cases, anyway). Nothing is crazier than the world through the eyes of any "worldly wise" wise cracking kids. So, if you like to laugh out loud, you can't miss out on South Park Season 12 (or any of the other sets, for that matter). They are definitely worth the money, and can be enjoyed many times over. If you aren't a fan of the series yet, start with Season 1 and work your way up from there. ;-)

I don't really enjoy the latest plastic box sets, but we need to move with the time. Nevertheless, the DVDs are pretty great!
