Husband is not in trouble....for now.
I don't know how he did it, but cord was cut in half. While he panicked, I ordered the cord. It came very quickly and the laptop was back to charging. The original mystery remains.

I can't figure out why it keeps breaking.
My son's charger that came with his school laptop became unreliable. It word occasionally charge but then it stopped charging the laptop completely. I found this as a replacement. It is reasonably priced as a charger, and worked great...until a few weeks later and the ENTIRE C-type fitting came off. It came of cleanly as well, no hanging wires or other materials attached to the C-type metal tab. I ordered a replacement and was sent another. Withing less than 2 weeks, the same defect presented itself. I don't know why this charger, a C-type that our entire family of 6 is familiar with, is manufactured with such a flaw. The durability is awful. Compatibility is perfect. Reliability is non existent. I would not recommend anyone to purchase this charger if reliability is important.

Good Replacement
This charger works pretty well as a replacement for my computer, and it charges pretty quickly. However, it does heat up a bit more than my regular charger.

Item works Great! It is compatible with my Lenovo PC, I was able to work and meet with my clients without worrying that my PC would shut off mid session.

Good charged good price
This charger works incredibly fast and has been super reliable. I love that it’s USB-C, so It’s compatible for more than just my laptop. It’s been perfect for charging my headphones and controllers when I forget to plug them in. The cable length is just right too. I rarely have to move or adjust where I’m sitting because it easily reaches. And the price? Way better than anything I found in stores. Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase.

Do not buy
It worked great and then after a few months stopped working unless you literally held it into the laptop. Do not buy. An Amazon keeps moving it to the top.
