Ive lost the packaging andnhave just changed the batteries. My alarm no longer rings when the button is pressed. How do i sync it again

Take the batteries out of the dinging part, put them back in and it dings once, as soon as it does press the alarms button and it will pair with it.

I have a transmitter and receiver currently. Will I be able to sync this with my existing one even though they may be different brands?
