Had to dimple a metal door frame. This tool worked flawlessly. No need for the more expensive tools. Used and impact to do it even though the instructions say not to but it worked great. Solid tool.

I'm so happy to have this dimple tool in my small arsenal of fabrication tools. The dies were machined extremely well and I have to say, they're super easy to use. Highly accurate, this really takes the guess work out of dimpling Dzus fasteners, my only regret being not purchasing sooner.

I have had no problems with breakage. I use it on Aluminum , don't know how it does on steel. However if the bolt breaks it should be easy enough to replace it with a grade8 or 9. It does a great job of dempling my panels.

It worked good for smaller tapered bolts, I modified it for deeper impressions and now it’s perfect and was so easy to do the mods I needed.

For under $25 was not expecting much - but WOW - this dimple tool is awesome. Drill your pilot hole, insert the bolt then bottom die and torque it down - leaves perfectly formed dimples for dzus fasteners - flush, uniform, clean even with .080 aluminum. Highly recommend.
