Such a comfort on my chest freezer in hurricane prone Florida. Sound is loud enough to hear easily.

When I have to run my generator during power outages I want to know if some theft unplugs my cord to steal my generator.Ordered two, one for the bedroom and one for living room. Both arrived on time. One arrived in new condition in an unopened sealed box, the other arrived like new condition but the box was torn opened and taped closed. Requires 9v battery not included. Both function properly and make a very loud high pitch noise when power loss is detected.

Such a ripoff product. It doesn’t even work! Power went out during two separate rainstorm in the area and no sound! None!

I am using this alarm in the back of my UPS plugged in to the non battery outlets so I can have a much louder alarm than the simple "beep" from the UPS when the power goes out. It works like a charm and absolutely terrifies me when the power goes out.

This is as simple a solution for notifying you of a power outage at an outlet as you can get. However, even at its very modest price, this item is still probably overpriced. It is very cheaply made. Even so, it is still very functional. Just ensure the small slide switch on its side is "off," put a 9 volt battery in it and plug it in the outlet to monitor. If all is well an LED on it will be lighted. If the power goes off so does the LED and its alarm sounds as long as the battery holds out. It's loud.

For when I'm running a poultry egg incubator or brooder, I needed an alarm that could be heard anywhere in the house. Even if we're sleeping. This definitely fits that bill. It has alerted me to a power outage. It's simple to turn on and off.

I ordered a replacement only to find the wires were backwards. red is now black. product functions ok now that i figured it out

Put battery in and turned unit off. Plugged in unit and turned slide switch to ON. Pulled the plug out of the outlet to see if it works. It does. If you lose power you WILL hear this. Very loud. I liked the short power cord which allows the unit to be placed wherever you like. Price is excellent.
