For you Indian customers buying it on Amazon.in please note that this is a 120V US standards based device. Its socket also has a 2-pin blade type US. make sure you get a good 240-120This blower is very light and ideal for Indian dusty conditions. The motor is not too powerful and so doesn't generate too much dust and is barely adequate for blowing leaves across a garden. I would recommend this but for the need for the transformer.

Rattling noise with smoke on starting

I love my little Toro. It is the electric model. It is light and easy to hold in one hand. Very powerful -- it blows away wet leaves and helicopter seed pods like nobody's business! My only complaint is the extension cord does not fit snugly into the motor and has to be held in place. No big deal. Apart from that it is perfect, and I think very reasonably priced.

Aunque en México casi no hay costumbre de usar este tipo de aparatos, realmente son muy recomendables ya que no solo puedes barrer las hojas de los arboles, sino también la basura y el polvo de la banqueta e igualmente puedes secar el coche cuando terminas de lavarlo. Es muy práctico y la potencia del motor es muy buena, aunque si estás pensando usarlo para secar el coche, conviene más uno de un motor un poco más potente. Cabe aclarar que no incluye el cable de corriente que va del contacto de pared al aparato, hay que comprarlo por separado y fijarse muy bien en la forma de la entrada, igualmente se consigue fácil pero si es un costo extra en términos globales para tener en cuenta en la compra del soplador de hojas.

I bought this primarily to blow the leaves out of my landscaping beds and other places I can't rake. Perfect! Low speed was usually adequate - would get the leaves but not the ground cover (mulch & rocks). I used the higher speeds to get the leaves stuck in the bushes, etc. Once I had this out, I thought, eh, maybe I should see how this thing works on the rest of my yard? Well, no problem there, either - on high speed, this thing blew leaves with abandon. I should note that I live adjacent to woods, so we're talking a LOT of leaves. I suspect about the only situation where this might struggle is with a thick layer of really wet leaves. But it had no problem with a lot of damp ones, and of course dry ones were no sweat. So unless you have a real heavy-duty situation, I expect this could handle it. It's compact and light. I felt like switching hands only after using it for long periods. Noise: low speed is about like a hairdryer. High speed is like, well, a louder hairdryer. You shouldn't get any complaints from your neighbors. I read a few concerns here about the cord, but there's a hook on the back where you can attach the extension cord in such a way it takes the pressure off the imbedded cord. It's clearly described in the instructions, and I've done that and have no concerns about working the cord too hard. Assuming this holds up ok, I'd buy again in a heartbeat.

Neat compact unit but beware as it is supplied from the US, has a US connector on a 4" cable but no mains cable and plug. I do not thinks that a US to UK adaptor is available so I will need to rewire the mains supply to the unit. This is a shame as it has completely ruined the purchase experience, sending it back to the US is not on or I would just return the unit.

Great product at a great price... but the first one started to make a strange noise after only 2 months. But Toro has a really great customer service: took it to a Toro service center near my location and the guy there told me not to worry - Toro just replaces defects with brand new units instead of repairing them. Received the 2nd unit in 2 weeks and it has been fine so far.
