I do like the way it is laid out, but I do wish it gave pronunciation tips. (My husband is Punjabi but doesn't have the patience to teach without guidelines, hence the book. He reports that many of my pronunciations are hilarious since I have to guess) Review: Easy to learn both ways - Great and easy to read and learn with Given to friends and family who are using it to learn English too Only down side is its so easy to lose I've had to buy 3 but that's okay because whenever they are found someone else is benefitting and I've now got 3 people learning English and me Punjabi with it.

Indisch oder Pakistanisch
Es steht nirgendwo dass es sich hierbei um inidsches Punjabi handelt und nicht um pakistanisches. Da gibt es entscheidende Unterschiede schon beim "Hallo". Sehr schade

Beginner-Punjabi
I bought a Punjabi to English Dictionary and phrase book that compliments this one. This is a good book to get started on learning Punjabi. Getting familiar with common words and phrases, conversations you might need to know.

It is more hindi than punjabi and doesn't serve speaking skill of language.
It's not pure punjabi. It's hindi kind of punjabi. The one which we normally listen in hindi movies! But this book is meant for teaching pure punjabi of Punjab which the book does not serve at all. It is more hindi than punjabi language. Don't go for it if you wish to learn real punjabi. And the most important thing is that usage of punjabi lipi or atleast hindi should have been done because the swaras and pronunciation of punjabi/hindi differ very much from English. Because of this it is not advisable to use this book because it neglects the main thing completely which is important to speak and learn any language.
