What is the warranty period and what is covered?

David, I'm not sure. Think one year, I actually bought the one I had at guitar center, and had 2 year replacement I paid extra for. I can tell you however, that I used this rig in a club environment for 2 years, with Traktor pro, and it NEVER even gave me single problem. I great rig !

Does the jog spin by itself like a turntable or the newer one to this or what about the mcx8000

No, I have one. It does not spin. None of the Denon controllers spin. The only CONTROLLER that I am aware of that spins are the Numark NS7 series. They are all good units. I have a Pioneeer DDJ-sx2 a Denon MC6000 and an old Exponent. They all have worked great for me.
