Just received today and tested with 8th gen iPad running iOS 16.2 and iPhone 7 Plus (I know, I know, lol spouse is on iPhone 14 already) running iOS15.7.3. Both iPhone and iPad using the VLC for iOS app v3.3.12. My primary purpose is to keep this in my car so that I can immediately view or show dashcam video to LEO and save the file if needed on my phone in case of an accident etc (my dashcam does not have a LCD display so in the past, I had to review and download on a laptop. . .viewing on my phone is infinitely more convenient!). I have only played with this for about an hour now, but everything seems to be working as advertised. My dashcam natively records in avi format (container) so to view this type of video file, I have to open the file in the VLC for iOS app. The only hassle so far is that it takes quite a bit of time (a minute or two) for the files on the microSD card to show up on my iPhone or iPad so I can browse for the correct file as the card is 128GB. I have no idea at this time as to how robust this device is (a couple of reviewers state that it stopped working fairly soon after using it for a couple of times) nor how it will hold up after storage in my glove box (for easy access as I am really only using this in my car). Some also stated that it bricked their SD card and/or data. One even complained of similar devices locking up their phones. Luckily, so far (after less than one hour of testing mind you) everything seems to work as anticipated (knock on wood, lol) and I give this 5 stars! I have not tried to download from the phone to a card at this time. Should this card reader prove to be reliable, it is inexpensive enough that I will get another to use for purposes other than for my dashcam. Will update as to durability time goes on. So far so good!

I like that this card reader has so many great options for storage and works great with my iPhone. I am not covered with protecting it as it is quite durable, just toss it into my backpack and pull it out when I need it.

I used this with an iPhone XR running IOS 16.1.2 and I am quite pleased at how well it works. Unlike another type of reader that required a clunky (now outdated) App - this just uses the Apple files folder. Just follow the simple instructions that are included with it. So far I have experienced zero limitations and have used it to view trail cam CF cards, Go pro memory cards, transfer from photo's / vids to and from the phone. I have even used iMovie to create videos uploaded from the trail cam vids.

I recently picked up a Canon Rebel T7 DSLR Camera to start getting into photography. My wife, being a model, urged me to get one so I can start getting in the craft and maybe become her personal photographer. I still have a lot to learn, it's a ton of information to put together. Well, I have researched and tried numerous types of editing software for my photos and love Snapseed the best. I found that I prefer editing my photos on my iPad but had no way of transferring the photos. That's where this memory card reader comes into play. It's the perfect option to read my card and transfer my pictures to my iPad for editing. It's small so it fits easily in my camera bag without any thought and is fast enough to transfer my photos quickly for editing even my RAW photos which are of higher file size so this was a must for me. All in all, this is a great product for those that like to edit on their iPad like I do.

Does its job. For a fraction of the cost easy to use and fairly quick uploads. Seems durable so far.

Il est hyper pratique et très fiable permet de transférer les photos de son Appareil photo sur le téléphone Directement(iphone) Je l’utilise tous les jours Ou presque. Mon seul regret c’est que je viens de le casser au niveau de l’embout. Mais c’est entièrement ma faute donc je vais le racheter au plus vite.

Bislang habe ich meine Fotos unterwegs über eine App von Sony übertragen. Das ging mal gut, mal weniger gut. Zuletzt funktionierte es leider überhaupt nicht mehr, sodass ich nach einer Alternative gesucht und mit diesem Produkt gefunden habe. Die Übertragung funktioniert einwandfrei. Das Scrollen durch "große" Bilder (ca. 25 MB) stockt ab und zu. Aber unterm Strich funktioniert das Gerät super und man bekommt seine Bilder schnell auf das Handy, um z.B. zeitnah Bilder eine Sportveranstaltung o.ä. zu posten.

Avevo bisogno di poter visionare le immagini e i video su una microsd di una fotocamera senza dover ogni volta accendere il pc. Ora lo posso fare tranquillamente dal mio iPhone entrando nella cartella file. Comodissimo e funziona perfettamente. Non c’è stato bisogno di scaricare nessun programma, ha riconosciuto subito il dispositivo esterno. Ho un iPhone 8 abbastanza vecchio, ma aggiornato all’ultima versione.
