- No-Touch Medical Grade Infrared Forehead Thermometer

Works fast and easy.

I am a home health occupational therapist and have to check my patient's temperature every time I make a visit. The company I work for provides the traditional ones that goes into the mouth (plastic sleeves are put on them). Some of my other co-workers bought their own forehead thermometers. The ones they use look like guns (to me). I never liked the idea of pointing something that looks like a gun at someone. When I came across this one I felt that it would be perfect. Most of my patients say it looks like a remote, and it does, lol. When it arrived I was impressed with it's sleek design. It was easy to use and has a fast response time. I like that it has an automatic turn off feature. I get a lot of questions about it. The company that I work for hired an assistant for me (called a COTA) and when she saw mine, she ordered one on the spot. Ive been using this since February (It is now August) and it is still going on the same batteries. I am very happy with this thermometer. I recommend

This thermometer is accurate WHEN IT IS CLEAN. The hole at the end attracts dust and dirt, and then reads out improperly. I thought I had a fever of 103 when I was running at 99.2F. Then, after using a q-tip to clean the ostensibly clean lens, it works perfectly. If I keep it in the box, IT STILL GETS DIRTY. While I'll keep it because I get how it works, and feel I can handle the quirks, this annoyed me quite a bit. . Otherwise, It's a quick read and an accurate number.

Not the most accurate thermometer but better than not using one. Typically, it doesn’t detect a fever unless it’s above 100. I had 2 of these thermometers and they went into Celsius mode or showed everyone’s temperatures was hypothermic after 2 years of gentle use at home.
