3M Quick and Easy Headlight Restoration Kit, Removes Light Yellowing in 15-Minutes, 39193, 1 Kit

Trail parking after sunset used to stress me out, my 2010 Subaru headlights were super cloudy and sketchy on dark forest roads. Then i grabbed this 3M kit on a whim before a weekend trip. Took maybe 20–25 minutes in my driveway with a cordless drill. The steps are clear and simple. Sand, refine, then polish. I just followed the pictures on the box. The coolest moment was driving up to the trailhead and actually seeing the road sign instead of guessing. The lenses look way clearer now and night driving feels less tiring. I’m no car person and it still turned out nice, which made me really glad I tried it.

I bought this after another night driving home from the hospital with my old Camry headlights looking like someone smeared butter on them. I was too tired to mess with anything complicated, so this kit was nice. Clear steps, took me maybe 20 minutes because i was double-checking everything. The sanding part felt a little scary, but once I wiped it down and did the final step, the lenses looked way clearer. First drive to my 11 pm shift, I could actually see the street signs without squinting and leaning forward. That alone made me reallly glad I did it. If you can handle a few simple steps, this works well.

When my son gifted me this kit i hoped to clear up my old Corolla headlights for night driving. It did lighten the yellow haze and the wipes were simple enough for my stiff hands. Still, the lenses stayed a bit cloudy and I had to lean closer to see if I missed a spot.

I was sceptical at first but this kit definitely works and is quick and easy as it states, the pad is impregnated with some sort of paste when wet and that is what brings off the grime, the clear coat gives the lenses the clear look. Hopefully it will last but we'll worth the money, no need to watch YouTube for complicated advice on how to clean your headlights, this kit is all you need you won't be disappointed.

Since I had to add to the kit I took off 2 starts. My lenses looked slightly scratched, not yellow at all, however the directions from the kit say that for the clear coat step to work correctly the lenses must be sanded to a uniform haze. There is no way the one little sanding disc in the kit will accomplish that so I had to use my own wet sandpaper: 800 and 1000, then the 3000 from the kit. This combination worked perfectly and after applying the coating from the kit the lenses turned out like new. I did like this method more than the kits that require a power tool because I had more control this way. 3M should market this as an "Annual Lens Maintenance Kit" or they should add two more abrasives to this kit.

This kit lives at my shop front desk now. I grabbed it for quick fixes on customer cars with foggy headlights. Took about 20 minutes per car while i handled phone calls. The pads cut the haze fast and the final wipe made the plastic look clear again 😎. Customers noticed right away, which made me glad i stocked a few bc it turns into easy upsell.

Juste exceptionnel. Conseillé par un ami, ce produit remet vraiment a neuf les phares blanchis par le soleil et les intempéries. Il est, de plus, facile a utiliser (et bien expliqué!)

I used wet sanding paper in grits 320, 600, 1000, 1200, 1500, 2000 and 2500. Only after that I used the 3000 grit and sealant from the box. And the results are very good, headlights looks like new.
