This stuff is great! Use gloves (like latex) and it works wonders. Very easy to spread, doesn't smell bad and leather soaks it up beautifully. It fills the drying wrinkles, giving leather that beautiful , smooth shine. No stickiness, nice longevity and lasting protection. Couldn't be more pleased!

Must buy for any smooth leather!
Brand new notebook. That's how great this product is. I was recently gifted the passport Travelers Notebook and, having owned a regular sized one that is looking a bit weathered, immediately thought to purchase this in order to properly care for it. What I didn't know was how well it was going to restore my brown leather journal. In one picture I applied the balsam to only half of the cover and the difference is definitely noticeable, if not so much on the picture then definitely in person. The second picture is the entire cover applied. I would however recommend getting a smaller container if this is something you'll use sparingly or if you don't have a ton of leather to use this on as the 200ml/6,7oz container is quite large and a small bit on application goes a long way. The sponge it comes with doesn't seem to be anything special but definitely gets the job done well. As described, it does darken the surface a bit. However, I find the renewed, darker look more appealing. It assuredly will take years off whatever you'll apply it to. Overall extremely pleased with how well it works; How beautiful it makes the leather look, both in rejuvenating an old journal and in conditioning a brand new one. Definitely worth the price paid.

Superior quality of them all
Great for leather shoes and car seats. Doesn’t cause “oily spots” and absorbs quickly even in the car that in the summer can reach over 100 degrees while parked.

Excellent Restorer for Dry Leather - Just Know It WILL Darken
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Leather Restorer with One Important Caveat: It WILL Darken Your Leather Why I Tried This Product: I purchased Renapur Leather Balsam specifically because Vivobarefoot sells it in their online store. I have 11-year-old Vivobarefoot Scott casual leather boots that I wear regularly and have been heavily used - the leather had become dry and cracked. I trusted that if Vivobarefoot endorsed this product, it would be safe and effective for their leather. I had previously sent these same boots to NuShoe for sole repair and professional leather rejuvenation, and their treatment didn’t darken the leather as significantly, so I was hopeful Renapur would behave similarly. Application Process - Refreshingly Simple: I’ve used other leather conditioners before, notably Sno-Seal, which requires heat application and has a much waxier consistency that takes more effort to work into the leather. Renapur is dramatically easier to use - just wipe it on with the included sponge and let it absorb. No heat gun, no buffing, no multiple coats needed. I used about 1.5 tablespoons per boot in a single application and simply let it soak in. One pleasant surprise: even though I had cleaned the boots before treatment, the white applicator sponge picked up additional dirt as I worked, so the product does some cleaning while it conditions. The Results - The Good: This product truly delivers on its restoration promises: • Crack reduction: The dry cracks in my leather were highly visible before treatment. After application, they’re hard to detect unless I specifically point them out. They didn’t completely disappear, but the improvement is dramatic. • Suppleness restored: The leather is noticeably more flexible and supple - you can feel the difference in texture. The boots feel rejuvenated. • Water repellency: Water now beads up on the treated boot - a nice bonus for protection. • Scuff and scratch improvement: Minor surface imperfections were significantly reduced. • Slight sheen finish: The treated leather has a very slight sheen that looks natural and healthy, not overly glossy. • No odor issues: I didn’t notice any chemical smell during or after application. • Non-greasy finish: While it felt slightly greasy during application, it absorbed well into the leather and left no greasy residue after drying. • Simple application: Compared to products like Sno-Seal that require heat and more effort, this is incredibly straightforward and user-friendly. The Issue - Color Darkening: Here’s the important part: this product WILL darken your leather - just like Sno-Seal and most conditioning products do. The packaging clearly warns about this possibility, but I had hoped my boots wouldn’t be affected. The darkening is moderate - not subtle, but not extreme either. The photo I’ve included shows the treated boot (on the right) next to the untreated boot (on the left), taken one day after application. The color did not lighten after fully drying (now three days later). I preferred the original lighter color of my boots, and honestly, if I had seen this before/after comparison before purchasing, I probably would not have bought the product initially. However, now that I see the overall restored appearance, the boots genuinely look renewed and healthier. The darkening doesn’t detract from their appearance - they just look like well-conditioned, cared-for leather rather than dried-out boots. The professional treatment from NuShoe also darkened the leather, though less dramatically, so some degree of darkening seems unavoidable with conditioning products. My Recommendation: Despite my initial hesitation about the color change, I’m glad I used this product. The restoration benefits are significant, and I will definitely use it again on these boots and others. The conditioning, protection, and ease of use outweigh my color preference concerns. These are boots I wear regularly, and now they’re properly protected and conditioned for continued use. Who Should Buy This: • Dark leather items: If your leather is already dark brown or black, the darkening won’t be noticeable and this is an excellent choice. • Light leather items: ABSOLUTELY test on a hidden area first. Accept that darkening will likely occur and decide if you can live with it. Keep in mind that most leather conditioners darken to some degree. • Restoration priority: If your leather is badly dried out, cracked, or damaged, and conditioning is more important than maintaining the exact original color, this product works beautifully. • Convenience seekers: If you want effective conditioning without the hassle of heat application or complex procedures (like with Sno-Seal), this is the way to go. Value Assessment: At approximately 10 applications per 6.7 fl oz bottle (based on my boot treatment), that’s roughly $2 per application. For the level of restoration and protection provided, plus the ease of use, I consider this fair pricing and good value. The container should store well for future applications. Bottom Line: This is a highly effective, user-friendly leather conditioner and restorer that delivers on its promises - just know that it will likely darken your leather, as most conditioning products do. I’m rating it 4 stars instead of 5 solely because of the color change, which initially disappointed me since I preferred the lighter shade. However, the overall restored appearance is excellent, and the boots look healthier and well-maintained rather than dried out. For fellow Vivobarefoot owners: yes, Vivo sells this product on their store, but be aware of the darkening issue even though it’s endorsed by the brand. That said, if your Vivo leather boots need restoration, this product does an excellent job. Tip: If you have light-colored leather and want to minimize darkening, you might want to explore professional leather restoration services (like NuShoe) which may use products that darken somewhat less, though they’ll cost significantly more than DIY treatment. But understand that virtually all leather conditioning products will darken leather to some degree - it’s part of the process of saturating dry leather with oils and conditioners.

Fantastic Restorer !
Excellent! Works exactly as stated. I have several very old wood chairs from Austria. Had been in stored in a large church attic I believe for hundreds of years. Leather was extremely dry and hard, never actually sat on them. They were several hundreds of years old. Renapur actually softened the leather and left an amazing stick free luster to them. Unbelievable!!

Greatest leather conditioner around
Was recommended this brand my a trusted source. Bought some leather material and merchandise from Colombia and the balsam conditioner made my shoes and jackets shine and display the true and beautiful color of my leather goods.

This is a secret sauce for leather goods
I had neglected a couple of beautiful leather jackets (Coach and other) so that the interior had mildew from closet life over COVID and the leathers had dried. I thought I would need to toss them. Instead, I tried two things and they worked (thank you people on Youtube). First, I sprayed the linings of the jackets where the mold was starting with pure cheap vodka. Two applications and airing outside and the mold and stains from it were gone. Next, I rubbed this leather balsam with a tee shirt rag into the leather jacket exteriors. They were tacky to the touch. I hung them up overnight and checked the next day. I waited a week and reapplied. Let hang again. After two weeks, the coats were like new. SOOOO, I tackled all of my leather handbags and boots and hats. Wow. All like new. Love this stuff. Bought another batch to have on hand. Even a 1980 Coach bag looks like new after two applications.

I'm impressed. Applied the product to a leather three seater sofa and leather chair. It's relatively easy to apply (using the separately supplied sponge) and creates a high shine that lasts much longer than cheaper spray polishes that claim to contain beeswax. It's surprisingly versatile and can be used on a variety of articles. I've used it on leather shoes and slippers but it appears it can be safely used on any leather, as it is absorbed and doesn't transfer to clothing. The slipper leather has just started to show signs of cracking, so I'm hoping that regular applications will moisturise the leather and either stop or slow down the degradation. All looking good so far.

Fabulous stuff! The best leather conditioner I have ever used. I applied Renapur to a 30year-old living room chair and it brought is back to life. The paste went on easily with the supplied sponge and immediately restored the original colour of the chair. Within minutes the conditioner left the chair supple and looking great. I have used many different applications on our leather over the years, but Renapur is the best.
